⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ REVIEWS LIKE THIS MEAN SO MUCH! 💙🚗

Receiving feedback like this genuinely makes my day! 😊

One of my pupils, who recently passed her driving test first time with just ONE minor, left me this wonderful review.

One sentence really stood out to me:

“He teaches you how to drive, not just how to pass a test or follow test routes.”

And that’s exactly what I aim to do!

My goal has never been just to help pupils pass their test. It’s to help them become safe, confident and independent drivers for life.

Everyone learns differently, and sometimes a little extra patience, encouragement or a visual explanation can make all the difference.

Thank you so much for these lovely words. It really means a lot! 🥰

🚗🎉 ONE YEAR ON - MIA’S DRIVING JOURNEY!

Exactly one year ago today, Mia passed her driving test! 🥳

I caught up with her recently to see how she’s getting on, and I’m delighted to hear she’s loving life on the road!

🚗 She’s now driving her very own silver Ford Ka!

💷 She’s finally enjoying cheaper car insurance after her first year!

😊 And most importantly, she’s happy and enjoying her independence!

It’s moments like these that remind me why I love being a driving instructor.

Passing your test is just the beginning! 💙

Keep enjoying the freedom, Mia! So proud of you! 👏

Always learning - even as an instructor!

On Friday I had an observed driving lesson with my ORDIT trainer sitting in the back of the car.

The lesson focused on meeting situations, clearance and positioning - everyday driving skills that can be surprisingly challenging when you’re learning.

It was a great session, everything went really well, and most importantly, it gave me another opportunity to look at my own teaching and keep developing as an instructor.

I genuinely believe that becoming an ADI shouldn’t be the end of learning.

My pupils are constantly working to improve their driving - and I should be constantly working to improve my teaching too.

Better teaching. Safer drivers.

Always learning, always improving

Being a driving instructor doesn’t mean you stop learning.

Recently, I had a training session with an ORDIT trainer focusing on something I see quite often - fear and anxiety behind the wheel.

For some learners, driving isn’t just about learning clutch control, roundabouts or manoeuvres.

Fear can affect:

* decision making
* confidence
* concentration
* willingness to try something independently
* how someone reacts when things don’t go to plan

And simply saying “don’t worry” or “just be more confident” doesn’t solve it.

As instructors, we need to understand why someone is struggling and adapt the way we teach to the person sitting next to us.

Today I’m continuing my own development with an observed lesson with my ORDIT trainer.
Because if I expect my pupils to keep learning and improving, I should be doing exactly the same.
Every learner is different. Good teaching should be too.
