Many congratulations to Fantasia on her first time pass this week. The usual format of two days' training with test on third and no "hidden extras" worked well.
With the paramedic science degree and C1 upgrade now in place, Fantasia is now fully prepared for employment within the ambulance service. Good luck with your future career.

Another two first time C1 passes this week. Absolutely nothing unusual about that with KMLGV but what were the chances of having these two surnames in one week? It was Low at the beginning of the week and ended with a High! Well done to both.

Congratulations to Ellie who passed her C1 test yesterday with just the one (rather petty) driver fault!

I think Ellie will agree that concentration is the key and that you really don't need to drive like a learner!

Now a fully qualified Paramedic starting in September and with this final hurdle done and dusted, I wish you a relaxing summer and all the best in your future career. I'm always proud to have played a small part in the achievement.

Many congratulations to Nicole who easily passed her C1 test first time today with just one driver fault.
Nicole had prepared herself by getting the provisional entitlement, LGV theory and hazard tests done before contacting KMLGV last Friday and finds herself holding a pass certificate a week later.
With an interview with SECAMB very soon, Nicole will be ahead of the game now that this is done and will hopefully be on ambulance crew within a few weeks.
It was a pleasure to be of help, well done and I wish you all the best for the future.

Many congratulations to Lucy and thank you for your lovely review. All the best for the future.
Still finding it a pleasure to help the next generation in this irritating stage of gaining employment in the ambulance service. Still two days with test on third day being the best plan and for over three years, still £845 including test fees.
Once you've got provisional entitlement and passed the LGV theory and hazard tests, you can normally book in within a couple of weeks. Always best to plan ahead though!

Congratulations to Katie upon gaining the C1 entitlement, the final piece of the jigsaw on the road to becoming a working Paramedic very soon.
Katie will probably now tell you that it's not like a car test and keeping the Examiner chatting throughout meant that he only spotted one driver fault!
This was the 21st consecutive first time pass at KMLGV, I thought it best not to mention this to her beforehand.
Well done and I wish you all the best in your future career.

Many congratulations to Maisie who now has the category C1 added to her licence ready for when she joins the ambulance service. All the best for the future Maisie.
It's a busy spell at the moment so if you're needing the C1 category, remember to get on with the LGV theory test and get booked in to avoid delay.

Here's the latest training vehicle which is now in regular use and awaiting some discreet signage.

This was a significant investment and takes advantage of rule changes that came into effect last year which, providing that you have a manual car car licence, means you will be granted a manual C1 licence, even if the C1 test is taken in an automatic. This has been the case in larger lorries and buses for several years and now applies across all categories.

This now means that worry of stalling, the hassle of gear changing, mis-gearing, rolling back on hills, coordinating the clutch with the handbrake and trying not to clutch "coast" has all been eliminated. More attention can now be given on the road ahead, therefore improving the likelihood of the desired first time pass and still gaining the manual entitlement. The built in reversing camera makes the reversing test easier too.

It was sad to see the aging and tired 14 year old Ford Transit go after so many people had passed in it, but it's now been sold on to another local training provider. You can trust KMLGV to move with the times and make it as easy as possible for you get your C1 entitlement but still at a very competitive price.

Plenty of availability throughout the summer, call or message for actual dates.

Many congratulations to Steph who passed her C1 test this morning, first time, with just the one driver fault.
Steph has been offered an ECSW role subject to gaining the C1 entitlement and chose not to go with the Trust's "preferred" training company. By doing this, Steph kept local, completed it in two days (test on third), saved a significant amount of money and achieved it almost a month before her deadline.
Well done again Steph and I wish you every success in your future career.
