Range Rover Sport L494🚗

Range Rover Sport in recently do diagnose & repair “Restricted Performance” fault👨‍🔧

The most common fault on these SDV6 engines are the intake manifold/ cam covers deteriorating leading to the plastic cracking eventually losing boost pressure - ultimately causing restricted performance❌

Most of the time we keep these in stock however we do that many of them that they don’t last long at all😅

New cam cover fitted, faults cleared and back on the road driving how it should✅

Well look who’s got their new signage up👀

To say we’re buzzing is an understatement😍

BrandingHub Ayr have smashed it out the park with the design & installation🎨

Seeing everything on a computer at the design stage is one thing but seeing it all in person is just stunning!

We hope the signage is clear enough for everyone now to direct you to the reception without entry to our workshop😊

Range Rover Sport L494 in recently for diagnosis👨‍🔧

Fuel pressure related faults and intermittent restricted performance related to charge pressure🤔

First issue was fuel pressure regulator having an intermittent issue - suspected to be fuel quality related. Checked fuel filter and it was heavily contaminated⚠️

New fuel filter & system cleaner fitted - first fault rectified✅

Next issue was secondary turbo not operating as it should🧐 - vacuum solenoid not operating correctly, fitted a new one and back to boosting exactly how it should✅

2 faults diagnosed & rectified quickly and accurately🪄

Jaguar F-Pace in for timing chains🚗⛓️

This Jaguar was recovered in to diagnose poor running issues🚗💨

Timing correlation faults due to excessive wear on the timing chains❌

We replaced the following during the procedure👇

- Timing chains
- Tensioners
- VVT bolts
- Solenoids
- Guides
- Crank seal
- Engine oil & filter
- Chain cover gasket

Range Rover Evoque 2.0 Ingenium in for timing chains⛓️

This one came in with the infamous rattle on start up as well as a blowing injector seal❌

This is one of many in recently that’s had chains replaced already! (usual story)

Previous parts used didn’t even have a brand name on them - chains stretched, oil leaks on timing cover, crank seal not fitted correctly, bolts fitted with sealer…🤦‍♂️

Mediocre parts quality… how many times do we need to say it? If you want the job done right the first time then you know where to come👨‍🔧

We were closed for the bank holiday but now back open as usual😊

BMW 5 series M-Sport in recently to rectify a bad brake shudder❌

There’s nothing worse than a bone shaker experience every time you apply the brakes😤

Front brake discs had severe runout measured and were in poor condition anyway so we supplied & fitted new brake discs, pads & wear sensor after thoroughly cleaning all mating faces and brake contact points - perfect braking restored👌
