I am kind of sad to say that yesterday was my last day as a driving instructor and that I have finally retired. I would like to say a huge thank you for following this page and especially to everyone that did lessons with me for basically giving me a job for 19 years. I loved being a driving instructor and it was a real privilege to help so many of you progress as drivers. The best part though was when people passed their test and in the nicest possible way it was time to say goodbye.
Now that I have retired I want to see more of this wonderful world we live on starting in January when I hope to go to Morocco for 4 weeks.
Thanks again and I would like to wish everyone of you all the very best for the future.

Really well done Alyssa Chiole for passing her test this morning in fine style, 1st time and with only 3 faults! Huge congratulations!
Alyssa is on a gap year and works at a hotel in North Berwick so having a licence will make it so much easier to get to and from work.
In the new year she is going to England to work with horses then in September she hopes to start a course in Equine Science.

Rosie Baur works as wedding planner in a hotel about a 10 minute drive away so it was great she passed her test this morning. Congratulations on a wonderful pass 1st time and with only 2 faults! Although the wedding season has finished for this year her hotel is about to become super busy with Christmas parties etc. Now at least getting to and from work will be a lot easier.

Was another very cold morning when I picked up Anna Grosse at 730am this morning before her driving test.
It was all worth while with Anna passing her test in fine style first time with only 4 faults! Congratulations on a great drive!
Anna finishes her Uni course in Psychology in a couple of years. Wishing you all the very best with that and for the future.

It was very dark when I picked up Daniel Chamberlin for his driving test at 630am this morning but it was all worthwhile because by 840 am he had passed his test. Great pass with only 2 faults! Congratulations!
Daniel is about to go to live in New Zealand but before then he is having an amazing holiday visiting China, Thailand and Australia. Have a wonderful time and wishing you all the best with your new life in NZ.

Really well done to Ryan Macintyre for passing his test today first time and with only 2 faults! Huge congratulations for a great drive!
Having a licence will make a huge difference because he will be able to drive to Haddington instead of catching a bus. Also Ryan’s partner Lauren is in a few months going to have their second child.

It was 19 years ago that I started as a driving instructor. Hair has changed colour but then it was more than a few years ago!
I hoped to retire about now but unfortunately there has been a problem with selling my house though hopefully it will get sorted soon?
I will therefore be working probably up to the end of the year at least. I will be available for lessons for a few months minimum and when I do retire I will do my best to pass on any learner drivers still with me to a suitable local driving instructor.

When I picked up Jack Hardie this morning he was more than a little nervous but once he started driving he soon got on with the task at hand.
Passing his test which he did in fine style 1 st time ( with me anyway) with only 4 faults! Huge congratulations on a great drive.
Jack works for a bank at the Gyle which will be so much easier to get to driving.
The bank also offer great deals on getting a sustainable car so hope you find what you want.

Huge Congratulations to AJ Le -Page for passing his driving test this morning. Really well done for a great 1st time pass with only 4 faults!
AJ works a support worker. In the future he will be able to take people he is looking after for trips in his car. Also his partner lives in Edinburgh and now it will be so much easier to visit.

Was really pleased when Karen McCann passed her driving test this morning! Huge congratulations! Karen broke her wrist a while back and because of that it has taken longer to get through test than we hoped. She works all over East Lothian and having a licence means no more catching buses! How good will that be? Hope the car hunting at the weekend goes well.

Last week Daniel Filogonio’s twin passed her test so there more than a little pressure on him to pass as well.
So it was great that he passed too but what a wonderful pass it was 1st time with only 1 fault ! Huge Congratulations!
Daniel is about to go into 2nd year of Uni on Monday so wishing you all the very best with that and for the future
