4TECHMOTO Automotive Technical Training and Construction Training Centres located in Preston and Blackpool

At 4Techmoto we specialise in delivering vocational training and education to young people. We offer courses in motorcycle and motor vehicle engineering as well as construction, ranging from entry level to recognised industry status. From September 2022, we will be offering small animal care and horticulture from our small holding site located less than 5 minutes from the Preston Brought M55 exit.

We are an Institute of the Motor Industry approved centre, and deliver courses regulated by this governing body as well as AQA, Open Awards and British Health and Safety Council qualifications. Our training facilities are modern and spacious, designed to provide a true work based learning environment for all, and include a custom built classroom with interactive whiteboard facility. All staff at 4Techmoto are experts within their professional discipline. Currently we have college lecturers, qualified automotive and motorcycle technicians, construction and groundwork, youth and community workers and pastoral staff.

4techmoto technical teaching staff also have a wealth of Motorsport experience, both in the pit lane and ‘on the track’…disciplines include;

• Motocross.
• Motorcycle road racing.
• Enduro riding.
• Rallying.
• Off-road 4x4 Trials.
• Car road racing
• Sprint and Hill Climbs.
• Motorcycle trials riding.
• Event marshalling/ organisation. We believe that knowledge should be shared and structure sessions to the groups/individuals needs enabling appropriate learning and pastoral issues to be addressed. English/ Maths tutoring
We are looking to recruit a new member of staff to join our hardworking team in the new academic year, starting September 2024. ‘4 tech moto’ is an organisation which specialises in vocational training with excellence. Our aim is to support and guide young people who may or may not have struggled during their academic journey. We support their learning through the teaching of automotive/ engineering education, as well as developing their Mathematical and English progression.
We are looking to find an educator/tutor who is willing to support these young adults with their English and Mathematical development, at entry levels 1, 2 and 3. This specific member of the team would be hired on a part time basis up to 10 hours and a possibility of more, these hours can be negotiable, and is required to uphold teaching experience, as well as a qualification in teaching at this specified level.

Vacancy: Motorcycle Maintenance and Motor Vehicle Maintenance Instructors.

Location: Blackpool FY1 2EP.

Starting salary range: £22,000 to £28,000 per annum.

Contract: Permanent - working term time plus 2 weeks.

Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:30am to 4:00pm and Friday 8:30am to 3:00pm.

We are a leading vocational training provider and due to expansion, we are seeking and enthusiastic individuals for the roles of Motor Vehicle and/or Motorcycle Maintenance Instructors at Blackpool Training Centre.

Primarily, the posts will involve delivering Level 1 accredited motor vehicle and/or motorcycle subjects/courses to a diverse range of young people. In addition, when required, the successful applicant will also fill the role of support staff, including the supervision, teach assisting and pastoral care of pupils.

The successful candidate will benefit from extremely generous time off, as they will be required to work during term time only, plus two weeks during the academic year summer holidays. To be considered for the post you will hold qualifications in Motor Vehicle and/or Motorcycle Maintenance and repair. A teaching qualification such a PTTLS or AET Level 3 would be an advantage, however, should applicants not hold the said qualifications, he or she must be willing to work towards gaining the qualifications within the first six months of employment. The successful candidate will also be competent using I.T. systems and in particular, Microsoft Office.

Main Duties

To teach on a range of full and part-time courses, in line with the centre and curriculum area specifications.

To contribute to the planning, monitoring and evaluation of the curriculum in the centre.

To prepare and mark assessments as required within the range of programmes timetabled.

To be responsible for the continuous improvement in attendance, punctuality, retention, and achievement of students in designated teaching groups.

To produce full, considered, and timely reports and references on students.

To work co-operatively within a team and attend all team meetings and training.

To fully participate in the centres ILT strategy including contributing to the upkeep of the section’s intranet site.

To adopt fully all curriculum initiatives adopted by the curriculum area.

To maintain comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of specialist areas.

To maintain current and appropriate resources for all course units taught including Schemes of Work, Lesson Plans, and suitable teaching resources, ensuring differentiated learning opportunities are in place.

To contribute to the total learning experience of students within the curriculum area.

To ensure the application of Inclusive Learning in all areas of activity.

Ensure continuous development and improvement of professional knowledge.

Any other duties of a similar level of responsibility as may be required.
