1993 Vauxhall Cavalier 4x4 Turbo
Now where do I start with this one...
Vauxhalls answer to the cosworth, and far more rare with roughly only 2240 Cav 4x4 turbos built from 1992 to 1995, with only 1000 of them for the uk market, even more rare 34 years on, with this being just 1 of just 25 Cav 4x4 turbos still on the road, this particular example has to be up there with the best!
Arguably the best colour - smoke grey, with original unmarked wheels and 4 good tyres, full leather interior with rear headrests, all original glass with number plate etchings, its never had a replacement window in its life & The roof lining is immaculate condition, tilt slide sunroof - fully operational, heated seats, air conditioning etc
On the road with long mot and a pretty amazing mot history having failed just 2 out of 15 mots online and those two failures where only bulbs and a number plate.
The cav comes with a briefcase absolutely bulging with history. Never seen anything like it. All the old tax discs laminated, every single mot sheet from 3 years old, all neatly documented in individual folders, the original service book with full service history, a vhs video of the Cavalier launch, every single bill of expenditure has been documented.
With only 4 previous keepers and genuine low mileage of just 91k makes this cav 4x4 turbo truly unique.

The C20 LET engine sounds beautiful on start up, even from cold it sounds perfect & very healthy
the number plate is included in the sale and rather cool, almost matching the engine code making it even more of a headturner!
There is ice neatly installed with a discreet subwoofer behind a false wall behind the rear seats, amplifier etc neatly installed to one side in the boot leaving lots of space for the shopping or anyone who owes you money.
The 4x4 system is exactly as it should be, having been meticulously maintained throughout its life — a testament to how well this Cavalier 4x4 Turbo has been cared for.
The performance was serious for the 1990's with a top speed of roughly 152mph and 204 bhp when new, the Cavalier Turbo was seriously quick for its time. Fast forward over 30 years and this particular example is still showing its teeth, with a dyno printout showing 283 bhp.
I could go on and on about this Cav Turbo — it really is something special. When you compare it to the money being asked for equivalent Cosworths, this is an absolute bargain. It's considerably rarer, packed with character and performance, and quite simply, one hell of a car.
