🔧 Audi Q5 – DPF Fault Diagnosed & Repaired

This Audi Q5 came into us with a DPF issue and was struggling to complete a regeneration correctly.

We carried out a full diagnostic check, followed by a road test and DPF regeneration to get the system operating properly again.

✅ DPF regeneration completed successfully
✅ Faults checked and cleared
✅ Road tested afterwards
✅ Vehicle now running as it should

🔧 Honda Civic repairs completed!

This Civic came into Ferranti Motors needing attention to the drivetrain and suspension.

We replaced:

✅ Both front CV joints
✅ Gearbox mount
✅ Final checks and road test completed

The knocking and vibration issues are now sorted, and the car is ready to return to the customer. 🚗

🚐 Ford Transit Custom back on the road! 🔧

The customer brought this van to us believing it needed a complete turbo replacement.

After carrying out a full diagnosis, we found the turbo itself was fine and the fault was only with the turbo actuator. We replaced the actuator, tested the system and road-tested the van — all sorted and running properly again.

✅ Fault correctly diagnosed
✅ New turbo actuator fitted
✅ Turbo replacement avoided
✅ Customer saved approximately £500

🚙 Another Land Rover repaired and back on the road! 🔧

This 2013 Range Rover Evoque came into Ferranti Motors with a coolant leak.

Following a full diagnosis, we traced the fault to a failed EGR cooler. While carrying out the repair, we also identified a split lower intercooler pipe, which was causing a boost leak.

We replaced the EGR cooler, fitted a new lower intercooler pipe, refilled and bled the cooling system, and carried out final testing to ensure everything was operating as it should.

✅ New EGR cooler fitted
✅ Boost leak repaired with new lower intercooler pipe
✅ Cooling system pressure tested
✅ Road tested – no coolant leaks and boost restored

This Peugeot 208 came in with an intermittent running fault and fuel rail pressure faults. After diagnosing the issue, we replaced the high-pressure fuel pump.

🔧 Another one through the workshop this week!

This 2016 Range Rover Vogue came in with DPF-related faults and poor running concerns.

Using Jaguar Land Rover main dealer diagnostic software, we carried out a full diagnostic assessment and identified the issue as a blocked DPF along with contamination within the EGR system.

✅ Full diagnostics carried out using JLR dealer-level software
✅ DPF regeneration completed
✅ EGR and DPF systems cleaned and cleared
✅ Faults rectified and vehicle running as it should again

Having access to manufacturer-level diagnostic equipment allows us to accurately diagnose and repair modern Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles without the guesswork.

Happy Saturday everyone! 👋

A big thank you to all our customers for keeping us busy this week. We’ve not had much chance to stop and take photos of everything that’s been through the workshop, but here are a couple of jobs from today.

🔧 BMW 318d in for a replacement differential.

🔧 Honda Jazz in for some MOT preparation work, including welding in new exhaust hangers.

No matter how big or small the job, we’re always happy to help keep your vehicle safe and on the road.
