Some bad news unfortunately for my current drivers, I am in the Royal Bournemouth Hospital at least overnight whilst more tests are done but I already have a diagnosis and it's not what I was hoping to hear, I've been steadily losing weight over the last couple of months and with other ailments popping up I went to the doctors yesterday and they took bloods and other bodily fluids for testing saying results will be back in 3-4 days, whilst at the test centre this morning I got a phone call from my doctor telling me to get myself and an overnight bag to the oncology ward by 10am.. anyway more tests and stuff and a diagnosis, I have something called Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia, a blood cancer that although very serious is survivable .. my treatment is possibly going to start on Tuesday and involves a month of inpatient chemo and further tests and treatments. I will message those with tests upcoming and see what I can do I have driving instructor colleagues who can help me out, but for the moment it is looking like lessons may be stopping in the near future for at least a month, anyone who has paid for a block in advance can be reimbursed and start again when I'm back to work, which I hope will be not too long.
Sorry to let you down but this is beyond my control, as though I currently feel and look ok my insides are not and need fixing.
So once the weekend is over I'll be texting you all and seeing what we can do to get you DRIVING ON DRIVERS.

6am pick up for Rhys this morning for his 7:13am driving test, the hand drawn good luck card from his little daughter must've worked its magic as he had a tricky route but he sailed round and breezed it picking up just the one driver fault for doing 30 in a 40 zone on the way back to the test centre, bit pedantic but Rhys isn't worried he's got the open road ahead of him now, So I can happily say to him one final time DRIVE ON DRIVER.

Further to the recent Pass Photo situation..acting on advice given, in the future I will be taking any pictures whilst the successful student is sat in the car with door closed and side window open, and I will also be introducing a written consent form to be signed by a Parent/Legal Guardian before I publish any picture of anyone under the age of 18, It's a legal requirement to cover my back and to give you the student peace of mind that all is above board, I take my students online safety very seriously and am truly saddened it has come to this. YOU ALWAYS WILL HAVE THE ABSOLUTE RIGHT TO SAY NO TO ANY PICTURE TAKING without any pressure from me. I will continue to monitor all and any comments posted regarding a picture and act accordingly
Hopefully this will draw a line under this and I can get back to celebrating your happy day and providing a picture of that happy moment for you.

A 6am pick up for a 7:11 driving test and Joe Cross is bright eyed and bushy tailed ready for his test.. traffic was getting busier towards the return journey to the test centre but it helped him a bit and he sailed round to pass with a handful of driving faults. He's a bit too laid back sometimes but not this morning he was on it like a bonnet.
So with the greatest of pleasure I can finally say to him.... DRIVE ON DRIVER

Tears of joy followed this picture as Sian Beckett passes her test first time with only 3 driving faults. She was convinced she'd fail but I knew she could do it and she did... the poor examiners ears were practically bleeding by the time they got back as Sian is most definitely a chatterbox as well as a blooming good driver. She is mum to five girls and having a driving licence now will make her life so very much easier, I am so proud of this lady so it is with the very greatest of pleasure that I can say DRIVE ON DRIVER.

Anybody who makes lewd rude or crude comments on my teenage learners passing their test will be reported to Facebook for sexual harassment of an under 18 year old.
Anyone disgusting enough to make any inappropriate comments on any of my learners will also be reported to Facebook for sexual harassment and then blocked

Grey skies above and a 6am pick up but that didn't faze Elliott Vincent as he sailed round and smashed his driving test with ZERO driving faults, a superb drive round according to the examiner.
A great start to the week for Elliott and it's a real pleasure to say to him one final time DRIVE ON DRIVER.

Well it's two for two today as the lovely but very nervous Chloe Northam also passes her test with a mere 3 driving faults... a great drive round and examiner Mark was superb with her.
Chloe will freely admit she's a bit of a drama queen and was convinced she'd failed part way round and it probably actually did her good as she relaxed and just drove rather than worried about it.
Been great fun helping her get that licence and my ears can have a chance to heal now as Chloe is most definitely a chatterbox.
But she was super sweet and said it's happy/sad as she'll no longer have a weekly lesson with her favourite driving instructor.
So finally we can shout DRIVE ON DRIVER .

He is happy really....! Issac Mansell smashed his driving test with only 1 driving fault. We've had a bit of a journey getting to this point but his (and mum Emilys) perseverance we got there.
Tests aren't Issacs favourite thing but he drove brilliantly today and sailed through even getting complimented on his drive by the examiner.
Been an absolute pleasure helping him obtain his licence and mum can now relax and not be on the Gov site looking for tests anymore and she gets her boot space empty of Issacs tools and timber.
So I am super pleased to finally say DRIVE ON DRIVER one more time to him.

For those who are trying to test swap ..it has become an even more complicated process now.

You may be able to swap your car driving test with another learner driver by phone if you both already have a test booked and want each other's test slot.
