Another "Black Death" case defeated! 🛠️🚫
We had a Mercedes Vito come in recently with a severe case of injector leak carbon buildup (aka "Black Death"). The customer was recommended to us by other garages after being told the entire engine would need to be pulled just to fix the issue.
**The result? The engine stayed exactly where it belongs.**
We handled the entire job in-house without the massive labor costs of an engine removal:
* ✅ Injectors pulled successfully.
* ✅ Rocker cover removed and professionally blasted in-house.
* ✅ Cleaned, resealed, and rebuilt in record time.

Om651 bought into us with a knocking noise. On inspection, we found the balance shaft had worked loose and been grinding on the conrod bolts until they snapped. Recon engine built in-house, including new conrods, pistons, oil pump, timing chain kit, complete oil cooler. We are currently working on having these built up ready to improve turnaround time.

A quick diagnosis pointed to a wiring fault, requiring a significant disassembly to locate and rectify the corroded wire. The issue was then resolved, and the vehicle was reassembled. Inlet manifold number 5 from last week. On inspection of the rest of the vehicle, we found the DPF Flexi broke up. Alternator pulley seized, and belt idlers were worn. All items were in stock and completed the same day.
