TYRE OF THE WEEK
Gone early on this weeks entry as the story is quite unusual
Get a call for a tyre blowout A35 near Bere Regis, The customer and his wife and kids were travelling to Devon in 2 cars so the children went on in the wifes car whilst the husband waited for our van to arrive, however just prior to it's arrival the customer rang us again to say that his wife had now had a blow out just past Bridport and so with our van almost on site and no suppliers either open or having a tyre in Dorchester or Bridport for the 2nd car we dispatched another van from Poole with a tyre to give to the 1st van which upon completion of the job at Bere Regis followed the customer to Bridport to sort his wifes car.
The 2nd car had a genuine blowout after hitting something in the road but the first cars issue was all down yet again to not checking tyres before a journey leading it to basically wear down to the air

TYRES OF THE LAST FEW WEEKS
We have been so busy that I have neglected to post the last few tyre of the week pics, so here are the pick of our latest roadside changes both of which would have been avoided with regular tyre checks.

1st one was on The A31 at Picket Post, The car caused a long tailback whilst blocking a carriageway

2nd one was on the A303, Police pulled the car for a different reason but when they saw the 2 front tyres they would not allow him to leave until they were sorted, They also issued the driver a ticket

TYRE OF THE WEEK
This tyre (a 205/55R16) would be have been more at home on a race track as it has absolutely no evidence of tread on it at all & was making its way through the metal before it finally blew out near Wimborne.

Our tracking system shows the flooding is causing a lot of problems on the roads in the BH area today from Ringwood/Christchurch, around Wimborne & Poole with main routes on New Road and Ringwood Road closed

TYRE OF THE WEEK
Customer had a slight wobble and vibration on their car, which on inspection was because the tyre was out of shape and worn down through to the tyre casing, It had not yet reached the air inside but the tyre was not far off from letting go, so having the vibration issue looked at definitely saved them a far worse problem happening very soon
