Today we reach an incredible milestone — 20 years since Star Tech first opened its doors and began welcoming our customers.

Reflecting on the past two decades, founder and Managing Director Matt comments -

We are thrilled to welcome back another top notch, what he doesn't know could be written on a postage stamp, qualified specialist technician Andy Slater to the team. ⭐️

With over 30 years of Mercedes-Benz & BMW experience (amongst other brands) Andy brings a wealth of knowledge to compliment our advancing team.

Our Star Tech family is growing along with our premises (we now run three large workshops on-site) and on Friday we celebrate 20 years since we opened our doors in 2006. 🎉🎉

Our lovely team deserve a well-earned break so we will be closed on Good Friday through to and including Easter Monday.

Robbie's specialist technical knowledge is second to none. What he doesn't know about these brands isn't even worth knowing, having worked for both Mercedes & BMW dealerships for decades.

This week is National Apprenticeship Week and we are celebrating our three amazing apprentice technicians Shane, India and Ethan.

We are so proud of the hard work, commitment and positive impact that they contribute to the Star Tech team.

Shane joined Star Tech in the summer of 2023 for his work experience placement. We were so impressed with Shane’s attitude to work and his ability to learn quickly that we offered him his current role as Apprentice Technician.

India joined us in September 2025 and is in her first year of a three year course, through Bournemouth and Poole college, training to become a technician. India's enthusiasm to learn and her attention to detail means we have no doubt she will develop her skill set quickly.

Ethan is in his first year of a three year course, through Bournemouth and Poole college, training to become a technician. He's passionate about becoming a fully qualified technican and even works on cars over the weekend to help improve his skills and show dedication.
