1989, ‘’E30’’ BMW 325i Sport M-Tech II, Manual

This gorgeous E30 has only had three former owners (pre-registered, then Husband & Wife) prior to the current owner, who had ‘’an eye’’ for the ‘’right collectable car’’ and purchased it back in 2009, purely to be enjoyed as part of his private collection of desirable modern-classic cars.
During these sixteen plus years of ownership, the car has only travelled approximately 2,000 miles.
Sadly, the car has only now become available to the market due to the owner's bereavement.
The car was originally supplied when new, by LMT BMW of Newport, South Wales (now long gone and demolished, with the new dealership built a mile up the road and now part of the Sytner Group) on 2nd February 1989 and has been locally owned in the town (now a City) since new.
The car has travelled 118,000 miles and the service book shows 19 services & annual inspection stamps (some of the details have faded due to the book's age)…….. Fifteen of them were carried out by LMT BMW (the supplying dealer), five of them with a local BMW Specialist and two by an independent (it has also had at least three timing-belt replacements).
The car had mainly been in hibernation and laid dormant since 2012, and during the past thirteen years or so, had only travelled a mere 93 miles, hence as a precaution, the car was not started when removed from its garage, but winched on, and taken by trailer to the workshop, where it has been treated to a full service & recommission with its MOT, which was a first-time pass with no advisories.
In order for the car to now be enjoyed by the lucky new castodian, the following has just been carried out…..
New MOT (No Advisories)
Full engine service (Spark plugs, oil, air & fuel filters) / Fuel pump / Front & rear brake discs & pads / Brake fluid change / Gearbox oil change / Rear differential oil change / Coolant change, with new level sensor / Auxiliary belts / Timing belt. .... Etc !
The overall condition is truly excellent for an unrestored E30 that is around 37 years old. It is not 100% concourse or a restored showpiece, but shows just enough patina to demonstrate that it's highly original and genuine, so can be enjoyed & shown off in its current state…. We believe the paintwork to be mostly original. We think the N/S/F wing and possibly the bonnet has been painted at some point - The colour match is excellent, however if you look very closely, there is a tiny amount of pin-head sized micro-blister here & there (if this is the case, this paintwork would have been carried out pre 2009).
The wheel arches and doors are solid. The floor, sills and boot area are also very solid and have never been welded.
The paintwork presents a deep gloss shine and finish, with no major / noticeable scratches, dents or lacquer peel.
The interior……. Central locking, electric windows and electric sunroof all operate with no issues.
You will find the dashboard free from cracks and the seats & carpets present very well.
The engine bursts into life instantly at the turn of the key and the car drives tight and precise..
The vehicle is currently locked-away, ‘’off-site’’ in very secure storage, hence viewing strictly by pre-arranged appointment by serious buyers only.
