Audi a6 2016 euro 6This one came in with dpf efficiency below threshold. It also had under boost faults which has essentially caused the dpf to block up. In the vid we explain what we did to find the issue and how we aim to resolve it.In this case a dpf clean isn’t required

Mercedes C250 in with dpf issues and underboost - we carried out a manual test of the dpf pressure which showed it was extremely high, but before we carried out a clean we checked the dpf visually and look what we found . Sadly for this customer the is cracked and can’t be cleaned.

We love a job like this.

Just over £6000 quoted to “maybe” fix this car.
Well i can say for a fact it would have been £6k wasted.

Our customer was quoted for a new ecu plus lots of other electrical components after making the assumption from the fault codes given.

We were asked to look at replacing the ecu and coding it to the car.

The car would crank but woudnt start.

We started out by seeing if we could communicate with the ecu which we could - we did have a coding error so we sorted that and still the same no start
We then flashed an original file over the ecu which highlighted a Adblue fault what had been poorly deleted.
We then carried out more checks and realised the Adblue tank was empty 👀

£6000 quote and all it needed in the end was £30s worth of Adblue 😂 we now have one very happy customer who’s also £6000 better off, and all from bumping in to me in B&Q😂

Correct diagnostics often involves manual testing and thinking out side the box, not just relying on what the diag tool tells us!
The codes point to the turbo which is probably why it was replaced however in this instance this wasn’t the case 👀

The picture doesn’t do it justice but this oil filter was rock solid, so much so it starved the turbo causing it to fail...

The picture doesn’t do it justice but this oil filter was rock solid, so much so it starved the turbo causing it to fail , when you buy a used car don’t take the sellers word that it has been serviced , for peace of mind get an oil change done and save your self future issues like this n47 owner has had to deal with , thousands in repairs what could of been prevented with simple oil change.
