Here is a picture of myself standing by K3 at the BlueBird festival at Coniston in May all kitted out and ready for action. This photo by Neil Draper was part of an article about the festival that appeared in Motor Boat and Yacthing magazine last month. K3 was quoted as making several runs. Twelve to be exact.

I was out today on the 1904 chain drive Mercedes racing car and paid a visit to our local Festival of Transport at Hellingly. This event is celebrating its 50th anniversary and is well organised by the Eastbourne Historic Vehicle Cub. There really is something for everyone with Veteran, Vintage, Post Vintage, Classic cars, Modern Classic Cars on show. Buses, Steam Traction Engines, Military Vehicles, Commercial Vehicles, Tractors and more! Well worth a visit next year if you have not been before. Always over the August Bank Holiday. Here is a photo of the Mercedes, with my favourite other car at the show a lovely Edwardian Wolseley.

Wow the Hooe car rally on Sunday was amazing. What a turn out. Something for everyone to see and lots of friendly owners happy to chat about their cars. I took my 1933 Rolls Royce 20/25 to the show with some of my family. Here are just a few of what was on show. My Rolls Royce, rare 1908 Barre twin cylinder, Riley two seat with dicky, Riley Sprite I think, lovely 1930s Bentley pillarless coupe, classic Corvette, Alvis, lots lots more. I can totally recommend a visit to this event that seems to grow every year. Always the 1st Sunday in August.

Mr and Mrs Beech from Crowborough East Sussex had a surprise when they visited today with another MG car club branch. They realised the car that was used on there wedding day in the early 1970 was part of the collection. So it was a pleasure to let them have a sit on the 1904 Peugeot to bring back memories. A great attendance from pre war MG to classic MGA and even a bang up to date pure electric.

Today we had a nice group from the Chichester branch of the MG car club.

Here are two top Gentlemen I meet for the first time at Coniston. Dave Warby having a sit in K3. What a pleasure it was getting to know Dave and his Spirit of Australia 2 team. Also Brian Eastham who came to see us at the moorings with a very famous teddy bear. Brian often came and had a chat with myself and my team and made us feel very welcome.
