At Plymouth Radiators, we love taking on vintage and restoration radiator projects. Older cooling systems can present challenges that simply don't exist with modern vehicles, particularly when replacement parts are difficult to find or no longer available.

From repairing leaks and damaged tanks to recoring, fabrication, and restoring original components, our experienced team enjoys finding a way forward.

It's often a combination of traditional repair skills, specialist knowledge, careful research, and a little bit of problem-solving, all carried out in-house at our Plympton workshop.

Some radiator repairs are straightforward. Others require a little more investigation, research, and specialist fabrication.

This Jaguar XJ6 3.6 (XJ40) was recently brought to us after its owner noticed the radiator had started to weep where the core meets the side tanks. With replacement radiators no longer available from Jaguar Heritage, repairing the original unit was the best option.
The customer also brought along a spare radiator that needed attention, giving our team another opportunity to put their fabrication and repair skills to work.

The result? A very happy Jaguar owner, and another radiator given a new lease of life.

August might be coming to an end, but there are still plenty of warm days ahead. If your air conditioning hasn't been performing as well as it should, now is a good time to get it checked.

At Plymouth Radiators, we provide professional air conditioning diagnostics, servicing, regassing, and repairs for cars, vans, and a wide range of other vehicles.

If your system simply needs a re-gas, we can usually carry this out while you wait, typically taking around 30–45 minutes. If we find a fault that needs further attention, we'll explain the problem and arrange an appointment for the work.

At the moment, air conditioning appointments are first-come, first-served, so there's no need to wait for the next hot spell before getting your system checked.
