Chinese premium car brand Li Auto is targeting a UK launch in Q3 2027.

The brand will begin its European rollout with the electric Li 6 and plans to introduce at least one additional model each year from 2027 to 2029.

Chery Group has confirmed that iCaur will launch in the UK in early 2027, led by the new V27 electrified SUV.

The new brand will operate with its own UK team and route to market, adding to Chery’s growing presence here after the launches of Omoda, Jaecoo, Chery and Lepas.

The UK Government is signalling that it will resist pressure to introduce higher tariffs on Chinese-built EVs.

The UK currently applies a 10% import duty, with Business Secretary Jonathan Reynolds saying future trade decisions will be based on UK interests.
