🚛 Not your average recovery!

Today's job involved transporting this motorhome safely to its destination.

From cars and vans to motorhomes and commercial vehicles, we have the equipment and experience to handle recoveries of all shapes and sizes.

It's not every day you see a motorhome hitching a ride on the back of a recovery truck! 😄

Thanks to everyone who continues to support local businesses like ours across Cambridgeshire.

Motorsport is never about one person. It's a team effort, and this result belongs to everyone who's played a part along the way. A massive well done to Mark, Joel and Mathew in car #462 for bringing home 2nd place after a hard-fought weekend. A great result and one that makes all the late nights, hard work and effort that’s gone into this project worthwhile.

A special mention has to go to Harry Parkes, who made his racing debut at Silverstone this weekend. He did a cracking job throughout. Credit also goes to Gary Parkes, Leon Barrand and the rest of the team for all their efforts over the course of the meeting.

We'd also like to thank Andrew Barrand and Mark Barrand for their continued support, as well as the workshop team who put in countless hours behind the scenes preparing, maintaining and repairing the cars throughout the season. Without them, none of this happens.

And finally, a huge thank you to the local businesses and partners who continue to back what we're doing: .J.Barrand and . Your support means has played a big part in helping get this car and project where it is today.

🚛 One trip, two recoveries.

Not every recovery is as straightforward as collecting a single vehicle. Sometimes a job calls for a bit more planning, the right equipment and a team that knows how to get things done safely.

Our transporter gives us the flexibility to recover multiple vehicles at the same time, helping customers get vehicles moved efficiently while reducing delays and unnecessary journeys.

🚛 Even breakdowns happen to the best of us!

We spend our days helping stranded motorists and recovering vehicles across Cambridgeshire, but every now and then one of our own needs a helping hand too.

Despite regular servicing and maintenance, when vehicles are out on the road day in, day out, things can occasionally go wrong. The important thing is getting the issue sorted safely and getting back to doing what we do best.

Thankfully, this one didn't have far to travel! 😄

A good reminder that no matter what you drive, breakdowns can happen when you least expect them.

🚛 Another truck joins the fleet! 🚛

A little milestone for us here at AASP as we've recently added another lorry to the team.

We're a local business at heart, and every recovery, transport job, recommendation and share genuinely helps us grow. More importantly, it helps us keep local people working and allows us to continue investing back into the equipment needed to help our customers when they need us most.

🚗 Off the Road, But Not Out of Options

This vehicle left the road and ended up in a field, picking up more than just mud along the way. From the damage and position, it’s clear things didn’t quite go to plan.

The important part — everyone involved was safe 🙏

🚗 From Ditch to Road – Another Successful Recovery

Starting on the right, this vehicle had unfortunately overturned off the road into a deep rural ditch — a difficult position with limited access and unstable ground.

Moving through the recovery, our team assessed the safest approach and deployed specialist lifting equipment.

On the left, using a HIAB crane, we carefully lifted the vehicle out of the ditch and back to safety — controlled, precise, and without causing further damage.

🙏 Most importantly, all parties involved were safe.

🚗 When the Road Runs Out… We Step In 🌲

It looks like this vehicle left the carriageway and ended up down an embankment, tangled within dense roadside trees and brush. With limited space and tricky access, this wasn’t one for a standard recovery.

The good news — everyone involved was safe 🙏

Using specialist lifting equipment, the vehicle was carefully recovered from the wooded area without causing further damage or disruption to the roadside.
