ELGIN SITE RULES
The Woodside Circuit in Elgin has to be one of the most beautiful and spectacular motocross circuits in the UK. Its unique setting on the edge of a major town positions it within a few hundred meters of major hotel chains and food establishments.
Its a testament to the laid back and friendly nature of the people of the north of Scotland that motocross can coexist with a community in this way.
For anyone hasn't been to Elgin before, the one trade off with this amazing venue is that the rules for anyone parked in the top paddock next to the residence are extremely strict.
There is a lower paddock available to riders on a first come first severe basis. As crowd barrier will be in place to direct riders from the top paddock throughout the days racing, anyone who wishes to park in the lower paddock must be aware that they cannot come and go freely,
Anyone parked in the lower paddock must remain there until 5pm each day when crowd barriers for bike lanes can be put to one side.
The main rules for Elgin's top paddock include.
- No open fires
- No bike washing
- No litter
- Bikes must be placed on mats for oil spill (standard for major motocross venues in UK)
- No bikes to be running before 9am
Security will be in place specifically to police this all weekend.
- Entry for competitors will be from 3pm today
- Gate shuts at 10pm today. Anyone who is arriving after 10pm please use any of the car parks available near by overnight before coming to the track when the gate opens at 7am.
Please respect the local residents and adhere to the no generator policy after 10.30pm each night. 🙏
