Let me tell you a bit about myself. I have been driving for nearly 40yrs and have always considered myself a confident, safe driver and have a lot of experience to share. I am a retired (early) Train Driver. To do that job, you need to have many skills, mainly to be responsible and safe. You may be transporting over 200 people relying on you to keep them protected, which requires complete focus an
d professionalism. Health and Safety is my main concern no matter what I do in life, and as I was a health and safety representative for the Drivers, I took this very seriously. One of my other lifetime achievements was qualifying to be a private pilot and attaining my pilots' licence. Another activity requires you to be a safe, responsible professional and keep everyone safe that flew with me and other aircraft in the skies. I also spent 20yrs as an Instructor / Officer within the Army Cadet Force, working with youths between 12 and 18yrs of age, dealing with different needs and levels of learning, which required me to adapt my teaching strategies for the individual. I am experienced in dealing with current safeguarding situations and can adjust to vulnerable teenagers and adults. I have a good sense of humour that appeals to everyone I meet and make learning fun for everyone. I believe in a happy atmosphere. All my training to become a DVSA Approved Driving Instructor offers the latest client centred and up to date required standards, techniques and methods that Examiners are looking for in a test scenario. However, my main goal with my students is to make them safe drivers for life, which will aid them to succeed on their Driving Test. So there is a brief description of myself, and you can see I am passionate about everything I do and every time I learn something new, I always put 150% into the process, so at PWD, we will give 150% out to our students and to make learning fun. I also have a Current First Aid at Work qualification.
