Another brilliant day at the Sports Land, and the sun came out too!! 😳
An unbelievable effort by the Marshall team today, it genuinely ran like a well-oiled machine - every time I turned around to do something, somebody was already on it! By 2pm we’d run out of queues so the last hour(ish) was hot laps/open pit lane. Good stuff!
Unfortunately we have had a bit of an incident this evening with a calypso red BMW e36 doing donuts on an ACTIVE RUNWAY (yes, really 🤦♂️) after the event had ended.
We know who the person is and who they were with - if any of the group would like to return to Perranporth, I recommend that the e36 owner makes a phone call to the airfield first thing Monday morning to explain your actions.
Due to this disappointing behaviour, we have no option but to lock gates at 1600hrs in the future, so please can you all ensure your recovery is prepared for the next event or we will have to ask you to relocate to the lay-by outside to wait.
Sad to end the post on that note, but thank you so much to everybody who came and enjoyed the day - bookings for the next one (August 29th) open 9am on Monday! 🏁
