Mirror Mirror on the wall…just give Regency Valeting a call! 🍎✨

We have completed a paintwork correction on this 2013 Nissan X-Trail.
This particular car works very hard on a farm, used for so many different jobs. The exterior paintwork was demonstrating life on our Cornish roads with bramble scratches, rub marks and blemishes. The bodywork certainly required some tlc!
After a pre wash and shampoo, we set about removing the tar spots, with any further contamination removed using a claybar. This was followed by a Stage 3 machine polish, cutting out all the scratches and blemishes. After a refining polish and IPA wipe down, Autoglym Super Resin Polish was applied. To increase the protection of the paintwork a top layer of Ultra High Definition Wax to create the final shine to the mirror like finish.

Built to shine but engineered to protect! ✨

We have had this eye catching, new crisp white Audi A3 in the workshop for a Ceramic Coating.
Even new paintwork requires careful preparation before we could finally apply the ceramic coating. Following the important preparation process, the exterior paintwork and alloy wheels were treated with a Autoglym Ultra High Definition Ceramic Coat. This highly durable, super hydrophobic coating provides a ‘shield’ to the surface of the vehicle. Not only is it great for instantly repelling water, UHD Ceramic Coating creates an extra protective barrier against the natural environment.
Ceramic coatings are liquid polymer formulas that chemically bond to a vehicle's factory paint. They form a durable, semi-permanent hydrophobic layer that repels water, dirt, and UV rays, making maintenance significantly easier while providing a deep, mirror-like gloss.
Whilst the shine is important so is the solid protection that comes with it.
We love being behind the wheel driving our vehicles in a clean cabin, but protecting the outside is paramount. On a wet and windy day like we have today, this Audi A3 has the ultimate protection against the elements out there!

The sun is shining, the weather is sweet! ⭐️🕶️

Have you been enjoying the weather? One way to cool down is to travel in a convertible with the roof down & the wind in your hair!
We offer a soft top restoration service to keep the soft top of your vehicle in peak condition. This means that not only will it look great, but it will function too!

How many soft tops have been lowered during the hot weather in the last few days?
Have they been lowered easily and more importantly can you put the top back up securely?
So what is included in our soft top restoration? It is a three-step process: deep cleaning to remove embedded moss and mold, re-dying the fabric to reverse UV fading, and applying a waterproofing sealant. Regular maintenance prevents leaks, extends the roof's lifespan, and avoids very expensive replacement bills!

Once again, this part of detailing comes back to our grassroots principle of protection that we so often talk about. It’s not just about keeping up appearances, but about longevity of your vehicle.

Detailing is not simply about making a vehicle shine on the outside. It is in fact about the following:

Our appointments start with a pre-valet inspection where we analyse what the valet requirements are & the products that are best used for this. Valeting & detailing takes time - it’s not a quick wash & dry process, but a precise one depending on the vehicle & the detail. We offer some restoration work too as part of our detailing. This could be the removal of scratches & blemishes, paintwork touch up, soft top restoration or vehicle headlight restoration. The presentation part is the icing on the cake - but this also needs careful consideration depending on what type of coating (if any) your vehicle has applied.

It’s rather like a pair of shoes - one pair doesn’t fit everyone. Talk to us, ask the questions! You put your feet up & let us take the strain! 👣

Have you seen the weather forecast? More sunshine? Doesn’t it feel amazing? But sadly what might be good for us, is not good for our vehicles!
Sunlight is generally bad for car paintwork, even in the UK. Prolonged UV exposure breaks down the paint’s chemical bonds, leading to oxidation, fading, peeling, and a dull finish. Dark-coloured vehicles and older cars are particularly vulnerable, although washing regularly and applying protection will sustain your paintwork. (A bit like SPF for us humans!)
This Land Rover Defender 110 has been in our workshop for its regular maintenance. We completed the paint treatment by hand polishing with Autoglym Super Resin Polish then adding a top coat of Ultra High Definition Wax. This carnauba-based paste wax designed to deliver a deep, mirror-like gloss and up to 6 months of super-hydrophobic paint protection.
As the sun starts to show its face, it’s not just about the shine but much more importantly the protection of the vehicle to keep it looking good for longer.
