For 2025, I am redefining what i do. I am in the process of setting up a website (https://www.voflo.com). It is very much under construction right now!!!
The plan for the website is to be focused on air-cooled Porsche 911’s (especiallly 1965 to 1989) and Maserati GranTurismos. In addition to the parts and services I will offer, the website will offer lots and lots of FREE detailed technical information focused on teaching you what I know about these cars.
On a part time basis (evenings and weekends) I will offer the following in the list below. Before you think that I may be too far away to help (Cornwall, UK), I can do ALL of the below remotely using microsoft teams, zoom, or whats app.
Think of me as your very own pocket mechanic!
1. Some car parts for sale. I am not planning on being a parts shop, but I do have a mixture of used parts and new parts which I have already been selling since 2003 in established market places.
2. Direct teaching/coaching from me at your house (or remote via a we**am), to teach you to work on your car!
3. Pre-purchase inspections. There are lots of cars I didn’t buy! I can spot quite alot from photos!
4. Emergency advice (How to deal with a problem if it happens and you don’t know what to do).
The reason I have decided to focus on these cars, is I personally own one of each, and they are both long term keepers! My 911 is knowledge is not just based on my own 1979 Porsche 911SC. I have owned 14 other air-cooled Porsche 911’s, in addition to working on many more!
In total I have owned around 120 cars, and I may expand this website to include information on other models including some general car related information, but fundamentally this website will be focused on 911’s or Maserati GranTurismos.
NOTE: I no longer work on 911s for others EXCEPT as part of teaching you how to do it. The simple reason is, Life is short, and I have my own 911 to restore, plus a full time job and a family.
