Another great driving test pass yesterday — congratulations to Luke from the Dreghorn area of Edinburgh who passed his driving test at the Currie test centre with just one driving fault recorded.

Luke got in touch last summer, and having already driven with his dad we were able to build on a solid foundation of skills during our weekly lessons.

After working through everything and completing a mock driving test, Luke spent some time searching for a test date during the current national backlog. Once he secured a test at Currie we resumed lessons shortly before the big day to get everything polished.

On the day of the test we went out for a warm-up drive covering manoeuvres and an emergency stop before heading into the test centre.

Luke returned with fantastic news — a pass with only one fault and compliments from the examiner.

A brilliant result and well deserved.

Well done Luke, and enjoy the freedom of being able to drive yourself to university!

We kept lessons focused and practical—lots of hills for clutch control, multiple runs through roundabouts for planning, and a run of mock tests to build calm consistency.

By test day, Mia was driving with control and confidence, and everything fell into place.

Congratulations Emily, who passed her driving test first time at the Currie test centre! 🎉

Starting from scratch and meeting at Fountainpark, we focused on clutch control and worked through the syllabus step by step. Mock tests helped us identify exactly what to refine, and with extra practice in her own car, Emily built real consistency. On the day, the examiner described it as “a really good drive.”

Congratulations Eve from Marchmont, who passed her driving test at the Currie test centre with only three faults! 🎉

We scheduled 7–9am weekly lessons through winter—great practice in the dark—and worked methodically on building confidence and perfecting clutch control. Mock tests helped highlight the final details, and by test day, Eve was ready. One last warm-up in the Currie area, a calm drive with the examiner, and a brilliant result.

Congratulations Caera from Bruntsfield, who passed her driving test at the Currie test centre on her first attempt!

We started at Easter, building on experience from previous lessons and family practice. Weekly sessions, clear targets, and mock tests in the Currie area helped polish the small details. Like many learners, the longest part was finding a test—she used a cancellation app and secured an October slot.

Despite moving to Glasgow for university (and recovering from a broken wrist during the wait), she came back composed and ready. One last tune-up, a calm test-day drive, and a great result. Well done, Caera—have fun choosing your car! 🚗🎉

Caera, based in the Bruntsfield area of Edinburgh, got in touch around Easter to restart driving lessons. She’d learned with another instructor about five years ago and had also been out with her mum and boyfriend, so there was a solid foundation to build on.

👏 A big well done to Michael from Morningside who passed his driving test at the Currie test centre!

We set a routine of 7–9am Tuesday lessons, sharpened clutch control, and used regular mock tests to highlight and fix the fine details. After landing a September cancellation, Michael delivered a calm, well-planned drive on the day. The examiner even called it an excellent drive.
