Great to be back in the USA supporting the Flyer Golf Pikes Peak car for this year’s event.

Jim Morris has built an absolute weapon as we chase the Front-Wheel Drive record. The electronics package is all MoTeC: an M142 ECU running direct injection with an additional set of port injectors, a PDM30 handling the car’s power management, and a C127 dash taking care of display and data logging. We’ve even integrated a rear-view camera that automatically switches the display into a live rear-view monitor.

Pikes Peak is a full week of action, with early starts and practice sessions split into sections of the mountain. Friday brings Fan Fest on the streets of Colorado Springs, and then it all comes down to race day on Sunday.

One mountain. One run.

Mugen MF308 F3000 engine on the dyno today

It’s been another amazing week of SPA track support with BBMsport on a lovely Lola Judd LMP2. With Alfie Briggs at the wheel we soon found a load of time along with some clear future development areas.

Hardware wise the car runs a full MoTeC M150 ECU, MoTeC PDM32 and MoTeC ADL3 with steering wheel integration. Mapping wise, plenty needed changing due to the car’s new air restrictor package.

It must have worked — we ended up the fastest LMP2 in a straight line.

Audi S1E2 Pikes Peak and Audi RS001 Group S is not a common sight. I have never had these two side by side before and all I can think about now is which car is faster????
