Ford EcoBoost Wet Belt Replacement – Full Service Including Sump Removal
For owners of Ford EcoBoost engines (notably the 1.0L and 1.5L variants), we offer a comprehensive wet timing belt replacement service, including sump removal and oil pickup inspection/cleaning.
These engines use an internal oil-immersed timing belt, which over time can degrade and shed rubber particles into the engine oil. This contamination can restrict or block the oil pickup strainer in the sump, leading to low oil pressure, poor lubrication, and ultimately severe engine damage or failure.
Ford recommends replacing the wet belt at 10 years or 150,000 miles (whichever comes first), but in practice, failures have been reported mucj earlier. especially if oil change intervals were neglected or low-quality oil was used.
