Job description
Skilled Old school Motor Vehicle technician and or good Apprentice wanted.
Here at Classic car services Oxford our cut off point is anything Pre Electronic era, i.e, if it has a Carburettor and Distributor then we take it on.
Working here is Varied and interesting, always a new problem to solve and often includes having to make and / or source new parts, if the customer wants to keep original parts refurbished / repaired we can do that.
So Experience and a natural aptitude are key.
Of course there are routine repairs and servicing to do most of the time, anything from a Fiat to a Ferrari and including Morgan cars.
There are plenty of youngsters applying for jobs with Classics but with very little skill and knowledge so sorry but we are unable to take them on. We cannot afford to be a School as this is only a one / two man business.
Salary commensurate with experience.

needs some one part time, experienced with cars pre electronic era, carburetors, tappets, distributors, electrics, etc,
Not just a fitter but someone who can solve problems, tune and balance carbs, solve electrical problems and so on.
If you can also weld and fabricate & machine then that`s a bonus !

Morgan roadster in Burgundy / Silver, 3.0Ltr V6 Ford engine built in 2008 and only done 8000 miles, its new owner is now making use of it an putting on the miles, great.
Just serviced and ready for its hols, !!

Big Healey, Austin Healey 3000

Unfinished project for a customer, this is an Austin Healey 3000 rebuild.

The Austin-Healey 3000 is a British sports car built from 1959 to 1967, and is the best known of the "big Healey" models. The car's bodywork was made by Jensen Motors, and the vehicles were assembled at the BMC Abingdon works.
The 3-litre 3000 was a highly successful car, which won its class in many European rallies in its heyday and is still raced in classic car competitions by enthusiasts today.
