Why not include a couple of days in Oxford as part of your canal boat holiday? 🚤🏛️

Stay aboard your boat in or close to our Oxford boatyard and use it as your floating home while you explore the city.

Discover Oxford’s historic streets, colleges, museums, shops and restaurants, then head back to your boat, pour a glass of something cold and put your feet up on the front deck.

Pop into The Bookbinders nearby or take a walk across to The Perch beside the River Thames.

And for those with some boating experience, the Thames is just five minutes away. With an additional licence, speak to our team about the possibility of exploring the river as part of your holiday too.

There’s plenty to discover between Oxford and Aynho. 🚤🌿

Cruise through the beautiful Cherwell Valley, passing Thrupp, Kirtlington, Lower and Upper Heyford before reaching the apricot village of Aynho.

There’s plenty to explore beyond the towpath too.

From Thrupp, head to Woodstock and visit Blenheim Palace. From Lower Heyford, hop on a train to Banbury or explore further afield.

And when you reach Aynho, stop at the Great Western Arms or enjoy coffee and something tasty from the Horsebox Coffee Company.

Or forget the itinerary altogether. Find a country pub, take a long walk and simply enjoy having nowhere you need to rush to.

Sometimes slowing down is exactly what a holiday should be about. ☀️
