And that’s a wrap, Friday was our last day working as the Eurodrive team.

Joy and I started the company over 31 years ago and it’s been such a large part of our lives ever since. We traded through two recessions and Covid unfortunately all good things come to an end as the supply of vehicles has become an insurmountable problem. I would like to say again a huge thank you to our customers who have supported us through the last three decades a few still with us right from the start !

All this would not have been possible without the best team you could wish for most of whom have been here decades and without them there would be no Eurodrive, thanks to each and everyone of our work family.

Finally thank you for all the kind words, messages, cards, letters, chocolates, biscuits, beer and wine that has been received over the last few weeks.

Dear Customers

It is with great sadness I am letting you know that after some 31 years of trading, Eurodrive will be shutting the doors for the last time on the 11th of April 2023, as customers I wanted to give you notice and thank you for your business and support down the years.

Since the pandemic many things have changed in the business, but the ultimate problem has become the availability of new vehicles. Where previously we ordered weeks in advance or for special orders a couple of months it has become a year or longer. This delay period has grown, so have number of vehicles on order. Last July out of the blue I received a phone call from one of our suppliers cancelling our outstanding orders which stood at 28 vehicles! Although I have managed to acquire a few vehicles, it has not been nearly enough.

Going forward I for see situation where we will not be able to maintain our fleet standards, we all have come to expect. With this in mind, we have made the very difficult decision to close the business.

It’s with great sadness we share with you that on Sunday 13th March Joy Rendell Passed away.

Joy for those of you don’t know worked behind the scenes at Eurodrive and has done since the beginning in 1992.

On Friday 1st April we will be closing from 11am in order for our team to attend Joy’s Celebration.

More information regarding the service can be found below, everyone is welcome.

Part Time Office Assistant

We are looking for someone to join our team working between our Cowley and Didcot depots. The correct candidate will be flexible and able to work two or three mornings a week including weekends. We will need you to be amendable for full time holiday cover.

Roll will include:
· Helping deal with all enquiries including emails and telephone calls
· Manage our vehicle diary
· Delivering vehicles to corporate customers
· Handing over vehicles to customers and checking them back in
· Making sure the vehicles are prepared between each and every hire

Requirements:

· You need to be over 25 with a clean driver’s licence.
· Great communication skills
· Organised
· Computer literate

This week saw the delivery our new Ford Focus Hybrid.

The colour is called Desert Island Blue 🌴
