🔧 SENIOR TECHNICIAN / MECHANIC WANTED 🔧

Location: Oswestry | Hours: Mon–Fri, 8am–5pm
Pay: £16–£21/hr | £37.5k–£46.4k/year (dependent on experience)
Optional Overtime: Sat 8am–1pm (paid at time and a half)
Holiday: 20 days + bank holidays

K C Jones Motor Repairs is a busy, family-run garage looking for an experienced and reliable mechanic to join our team.

Minimum Requirements:
• 5+ years' experience (MOT tester with clean license)
• Confident with diagnostics, servicing, brakes, clutches, cambelts, tyres
• Class 4 & 7 vehicle knowledge
• UK driving license
• References or proof of experience

VACANCY - TECHICIAN / MECHANIC

· £15 per hour

· £637.50 per week

· £33,150 per year

· Bonus scheme to earn up to £20 per hour (details below)

· Mon - Fri, 8:00 - 17:30

· Optional saturday morning overtime

· 28 days holiday (inc bank holidays)

What we are looking for

· Experience maintaining and repairing class 4 and 7 vehicles

· MOT tester, if not currently a tester we can provide training to get licensed

· Servicing

· Clutches

· Cambelts

· General component replacement i.e suspension, brakes

· UK drivers license

We are looking for a capable technician to fill a vacancy in our busy workshop. We are looking for someone who can work indepently, perform work to a high standard with good time keeping. We have introduced a bonus scheme for all technicians within our workshop

which rewards staff for their hard work. When a certain number of hours labour has been acheived on average each day for a month, pay will increase by 0.50p per hour. This will continue every month if targets are achieved.

K C Jones Motor Repairs is an independent, family run vehicle maintenance and repair business in the centre of Oswestry, Shropshire. As our customer base grows and grows, we are looking for somebody reliable and experienced to help us deliver this great quality.
There will be a selection process for this position comprising of initial intake of applicants, short listed applicants and interviews and trial period at an agreed pay. Applicants should be able to provide references or evidence of previous experience. This position has some requirements, such as producing a certain amount of chargeable labour per day and quality of work. Further information on this can be discussed on application. The ideal applicant should have:
• 12+ years of experience as a technician/mechanic.
• 5+ years of experience as a qualified MOT tester (clean license).
• Be self-competent and able to work independently and part of a team.
• Competent in diagnostics.
• UK driver’s license.
