This is a recently completed rebuild, commissioned by the owner's wife. He had started work many years ago, but the rebuild stalled, and then he was diagnosed with Altzheimer's.
He was very pleased to see it when I took it to his care home for a visit, but he couldn't grasp that it was still his.😔

Working on a customer's Velocette, non-start issues began to look like carburation, so I took the carb off and began to strip it for ultrasonic cleaning.
The bow in the fl**ge was visible without a straight edge! The first photo is after a couple of strokes on the glass.
The second, many, many minutes later, is the flattened surface. All the air should come THROUGH the carburettor, not ROUND it.

Poor Oliver. He came to collect his gearbox, which was beyond economical repair.
He'd never ridden a Velo, so to encourage him, he got a consolidation prize ride on the KSS.
