Peuegot 1.6 hdi van , which had been suffering from intermittent limp mode , and stalling /no start

The back story consisted of it having 4 brand new injectors ,in an attempt to cure the problem. 🤞😄

Why was that done??? Well the owner happily admitted that he seen on a forum that somebody had the same symptoms, and injectors cured it 🙈

Symptoms are not cause . ❌️

Remember the difference ✅️

After establishing some facts from live data analysis, that fuel pressure was gradually being lost under load , triggering a low fuel pressure fault code, we had the symptoms confirmed, and now needed to find the cause.

Which means , diagnose. Not fault code read .

First test . A test of the low pressure fuel system and its ability to deliver and maintain pressure to the high pressure pump, setting up a test gauge between filter and hp pump.

Any guesses what the cause was .... 👀😌

⚠️⚠️⚠️ Don't ignore your warning lights ⚠️⚠️⚠️

There is an assumption if an engine light is on, and no loss of power or drivability issues,its grand 🙈

What can start of as a simple issue , can sometimes escalate into something worse 🤮

This van had been nursing engine management lights for months, ending in a bad breakdown 💰

All resolved and back on its feet , but it could have been an easier and cheaper fix , if caught early ⏰️
