I was really quite shocked at how bad this one was. I’ve said it before, but main dealer preparation particularly on black cars is very poor. This brand new Golf R Line came to me with 106 miles on the clock, and had damaged paint already. In addition, the paint and windows were covered in water spots and speckles of bird lime. This one hadn’t been stored or prepared correctly.

Butttt with a little time and patience this lovely Golf was handed over in the condition you’d expect of a new car.

I was out and about in Romiley today tending to this lovely duo. Powered by cups of coffee and bourbon biscuits from the customer, the Z4 was pretty straight forward. The camper, however, was quietly being taken over by Mother Nature. It was rather green in places and required that little bit more elbow grease. The wheels, lovely but what a job trying to bring back the white paint underneath. Butttt, as always, we got there in the end. A very happy customer and a referral to do her daughters car’s next month, so a great start to the week.

This rather dirty Q3 came in yesterday for a once over.
This is the 10th car from this family, and this time it’s mum and dad’s turn.

They usually use a cheap side street car wash, so my mission was to convert them from the dark side and opt for quality over price. The car has some battles scars from improper wash techniques previously, but I was able to mask them in the short term and add some gloss in the process. I think it was mission accomplished.

I had this Old Skool Japanese luxury arm chair in today! This thing had everything in it, TVs DVD player, cooler, massage seats, the lot! The customer has owned this car for over 10 years and by his daughters admission, is his absolute pride and joy. In all honesty, its not a car I can ever recollect seeing before, but it’s definitely cool!

The customer’s daughter is one of my regular maintenance customers, so naturally got the nod to go all in on a deep clean. 20 year old beige leather, carpets and interiors are usually a challenge, and this one was no different. It’s impossible to get perfection, so it was about making significant improvement on the old fabrics and textiles. Im really happy with this one.

Additionally, Ive recommended a headlight restoration, which i can do and will get it booked in, in the next few weeks and bring those hazy headlights back to life.

Another Landy maintenance boxed off for a month. I’ve been looking after this since it was new, and it still looks as good as it did when it rolled off the production line. Land Rover paint can be a bit of a pain to upkeep, particularly in black due to it being very soft, and because of this they tend to swirl and scratch. But with the right products, equipment and wash methods. It can still be kept looking as good as this wash after wash.

I actually did this Insignia SRI about 3 weeks ago, but I’ve been a little lax with social media recently.

The SRI came in for a premium valet, but was as close to a deep clean as the customer could possibly get without breaking out the steam and spot cleaner and other deep clean equipment. The customer and I talked about some future work, with the potential of at least a paint correction and possibly a ceramic coating.

This was one of those jobs where it was about knowing where to stop. The customer was over the moon with the outcome, but I could’ve easily spent another day tinkering. But thats the pressure I put was on myself for perfection. Ohhh and I forgot to do the after interior pictures 🤦🏻
