Here at Havelock Autos Oldham, we are looking for an experienced Vehicle Motor Mechanic to join our friendly and motivated team.
The successful candidate must, have in-depth knowledge of motor and mechanical elements of the different types of vehicles, relevant employment history and the ability to work individually or as part of a team. To have a passionate interest and enthusiastic approach to resolving vehicle problems and provide the highest level of customer care. As part of the team, you will be required to repair and maintain car and light commercial vehicles to a high standard. All work undertaken so experience required from servicing, Mot work, diagnostics, full engine rebuilds. 40 Hours Monday to Friday, some Saturdays may be required
Key Responsibilities:
Ability to carry out required work independently.
Able to work on their own initiative.
It is vital that you pay attention to detail to keep standards high.
Removal & fitting of engines, clutch and gearbox components.
Carry out road tests and locate the area of the potential problem.
Time management and meeting deadlines.
The ability to organise workload and structure the working day efficiently
Checking the level and quality of work through use of diagnostic equipment, self-quality checking and road testing of vehicles after the work has been carried out.
To be health and safety compliant and ensure all work is carried out with your safety and safety of others.
Schedule
Working hours 10am-7pm Monday to Friday with one hour lunch. Saturday depending on work load.
Annual Salary of 19-22K (depending on experience and skill level)

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a vehicle mechanic technician, preferable 5 years.
Main dealer experience would be advantageous.
Must be eligible to work in the U.K.
Full UK driving licence is essential.
