Please watch this video! I've seen quite a few kids at the track without a helmet lately. IT IS NOT ACCEPTABLE!!! There really is no excuse, they can be bought so cheap these days! All it takes is one crash! Please please make sure your children wear a helmet!

Now the track is finished and open I would like to say a few thank you's!
First thank you goes to everyone at the parish council! Thank you for letting us build this and giving us you full support and patience!
Huge thank you to Chris Rose at . You have built us an amazing facility! You are a brilliant track builder with an amazing eye and knowledge of how a track should be built!
Thank you to Dale Welch, who put many hours of hard graft!
Massive thanks to Alex and the team at Sydenhams hire in Frome. Your support of both this project and Bath BMX is so valuable. I apologise for the hiccups, and for coming in every five minutes begging for stuff, but without you it would be impossible!
Thanks to Penny's for the dirt!
Thanks to all the local quarries for the materials!
Thank you to all the local residents, you have put up with a lot of mess and inconvenience over the project period!
And finally thank you to all the local kids! Your patience has been appreciated, as has your excitement for the track!
I sincerely hope everyone enjoys themselves, makes new friends, learns new skills, and enjoys the sport just as much as we do!
Finally, if anyone feels like they would like to take their riding further, would like to compete, or just check out what BMX racing is all about, head over to Bath BMX Club.
Ride safe :)

POLITE REMINDER!!!!
THE TRACK IS STILL CLOSED!!!!
Please respect this and DO NOT RIDE!!! It is still too soft and you are damaging the surface. The more you ride the longer it will take as I have to keep fixing it!!! Also those of you who have been on the track on motorbikes... You will be banned if I catch you. Please do not ruin it for everyone else!!!!

THE TRACK IS FINISHED!!!!!
BUT......it needs at least a week to settle 😭 I know how desperate everyone is to ride, but it really will be a huge benefit if you wait! Also we are awaiting the fencing for the second berm. It's a huge drop down there and I don't want anyone getting hurt.
Also time to get your gear ready!
BIKES ONLY on the track please, sorry scooter guys, but your little wheels and low decks shred the surface.
NO STUNT PEGS!!! They are soooo dangerous if you fall off onto your bike, or another rider falls onto you. They also wreck the track!
HELMETS MUST BE WORN!!! Preferably full face, but skid lids are better than nothing!
KEEP PROTECTED!!! Long sleeves, long trousers and pads should be worn!!
RESPECT the area!!! Litter in the bins, keep off the mud, and remember to consider the local residents. Park sensibly, keep the noise down and be polite 😝 they were here first!
BE CONSIDERATE! The track is for all ages and abilities. Yes the little dude on the balance bike might take longer than you to get around, but he has just as much right to be there as you!
RIDE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!! The parish council and the track builder cannot be held accountable for any injuries or damage or loss of personal items!!
Last but not least..... HAVE FUN!!!!
Huge thanks to the parish council and Chris Rose, who threw this all together in just 12 days!!!

It's coming along nicely! Remember no riding until it's announced its ok!

UPDATE!!!!!
The track builder started today! Yay!!! The track will be built and ready to ride in the next 3-4 weeks, just in time for the summer holidays!!!!
Can I also remind everyone not to attempt to ride the track until it's completely finished. This is for a few reasons;
The track is not safe until it is finished.
There is heavy plant equipment moving around the track.
If you ride on the surfacing before its dry and set it will RUIN IT!!! Then it will all be rutted up and will need doing again.
If anyone was to hurt themselves on the track before its finished it might not ever get finished!
I know it's super exciting and we all want to be the first to ride it, but good things come to those who wait!
Thank you all for your patience, I'm so sorry it has taken so long to get sorted, but it was for reasons beyond my control! :)

Huge update coming soon!!!!
It's all been happening behind the scenes, but we will have an update for you very soon!!!!

25/11/2015

Evening all its been awhile since we last posted anything on here. Not much has been happening on the track, as the weather has been awful as soon as we can we will be back out there.
Sadly it has been brought to our attention that someone has taken it upon themselves to cut and take the wood from the failed trees on the track with no premision from either us or the parish council. The track has been built with the help and good will from local companies and firms. Local nunney people have raised monies and the NCA have donated monies. The rest has been for free, along with the sweat and tears. But the wood from these trees had been promised to a family up Berry Hill, which was in return for their help on the bmx track.
Has any one any idea where this timber has gone????
