A worn standard steering wheel can make the whole cab feel older than it is 🚐🔧

This **VW Transporter flat-bottom steering wheel** upgrade was a pretty straightforward one for us. The customer simply wanted to replace his old, worn, round steering wheel with something a bit more modern and sporty.

A lot of our customers prefer the flat-bottom wheels because they look sportier, feel slightly smaller in your hands, and are much nicer than the big, chunky standard Transporter wheels.

🔴 Perforated leather on the sides
🔴 Smooth Nappa leather on the top and bottom
🔴 Red stitching, which goes really well with the white van

Not every custom steering wheel suits every taste, but this one definitely gets people talking 🚐🛠️

We’ve just fitted this **new-style steering wheel** to a VW Transporter, and the side detail is what makes it stand out. Some will love it, others might hate it, but I actually really like it.

It is different, and I think it gives the interior a more premium, upmarket feel.

⚫ Top and bottom finished in smooth Nappa leather
⚫ Sides trimmed with perforated leather on the inner sections
⚫ Smooth Nappa leather on the outer sections
⚫ Finished with grey stitching

What really stands out is the workmanship. To get those lines that perfectly straight and the finish that neat takes a seriously skilled trimmer. Full credit to the trimmer here, absolutely amazing job 👏🔧

Heater stuck on hot or cold in a VW T6.1? Even after replacing parts, the fault is not always finished there 🔧🚐🌡️

The **VW T6.1 heater temperature flap mechanism** is a common problem on Transporters. Symptoms can include heating stuck on hot or cold, temperature controls not responding correctly, or inconsistent temperatures from the vents.

A lot of owners are now replacing the broken linkage or actuator themselves, which can save a considerable amount in labour costs.

But if the heating still is not working correctly afterwards, the heater flap actuator may need its end stops recalibrated using diagnostic equipment, depending on the fault.

Factory-style fog lights on a T6.1 only work properly when they are wired through the BCM 🚐💡🛠️

This **VW Transporter T6.1** came in for a full genuine OEM rear-view camera, a genuine 12V dashboard socket, and genuine VW front fog lights.

Just a reminder, the fog lights we retrofit are always wired through the Body Control Module (BCM), which means you also get the cornering light function. In other words, they work exactly as they would from the factory.

✔️ Wiring run from each fog light to the Body Control Module and the light switch
✔️ Light switch upgraded
✔️ New fog lights and bulbs fitted
✔️ BCM programmed to operate exactly as per factory specifications

A proper way to add useful factory features without cutting corners.

Cold winter starts feel a lot better when your steering wheel heats up properly 🔥🚗🛠️

This **Skoda Karoq heated steering wheel retrofit** came down from around London to have the heated wheel added, ready for winter.

The wheel has been retrofitted to work as per factory spec, so it is not just a heated wheel fitted in place and left at that.

Getting a rear camera into a brand new Fiat 600 is not always a quick plug-in job 🔧📷🚗

This **Fiat 600 rear view camera retrofit** was fitted to work through the OEM large screen, giving a great size rear view when reversing.

On this one, the job needed a big dash strip out to get the screen out and get to what is behind it so the retrofit could be completed properly 🛠️⚙️

A lot of the work is in the access on jobs like this, especially on a brand new vehicle where everything needs to come apart and go back together as it should.

Now all singing and dancing and working as it should.
