Do you drive an automatic? You might have been told your gearbox is "sealed for life." This , we’re debunking that myth!

While some manufacturers say the fluid never needs changing, we see the results of "old oil" every day. Automatic Gearbox Fluid (ATF) works under immense heat and pressure. Over time, it breaks down and gets dirty.

Signs your gearbox needs a service:

• Slow Shifts: The car hesitates or "hunts" for the right gear.

• Rough Shifting: You feel a "thud" or a "clunk" when the car changes gear.

• Slipping: The engine revs up, but the car doesn't seem to move forward as it should.

Top Tip: A simple gearbox service (fluid and filter change) is a fraction of the cost of a full gearbox rebuild. Prevention is always better than the cure!

As your engine gets hot, the coolant inside expands. If it had nowhere to go, your hoses would burst! The expansion tank acts like a "lung," giving that hot fluid space to breathe. 🫁💨

The Golden Rule: NEVER open this cap when the engine is hot. It’s under massive pressure and can cause serious burns. 🚫🔥

📢 Tech Tip Tuesday! ⚡🚗

Your battery starts the car, but your Alternator keeps it running! This , we’re looking at the warning signs that your car’s "miniature power station" is about to retire.

If the alternator isn't charging correctly, your car is running on "borrowed time" from the battery. Watch out for these red flags:

• Dimming or Flickering Lights: If your headlights seem to dim when you're idling but brighten when you rev the engine, the alternator is struggling.

• The Battery Light: If this stays on while you’re driving, it usually means the alternator has stopped charging entirely.

• Electrical "Gremlins": Electric windows moving slowly, the radio cutting out, or heated seats not working can all be signs of low voltage.

• A Growling Noise: A failing bearing inside the alternator often makes a mechanical "grumbling" sound from the front of the engine.

If your alternator fails completely, your engine will simply cut out—often in the middle of a journey!
