Seat Leon Cupra 280

This one was stock besides a ramair intake kit, and a uprated clutch that the customer didn’t know until i initially took it on road test and thought “oh this clutch has some bite”

stock clutches on these are fairly light with a bite that’s forgiving. This one had a bite that was on the harsher side, always a great thing to find out as it saves plenty of pennies when wanting more power on a manual.

108,000 miles and stock software with only 1 programming attempt (manufacturers). very uncommon on this platform!

Another hot day so IATS weren’t the best, anyway.

Solid stock numbers and a nice baseline, no timing pull, fuelling all doing as it should, EGTs nice and happy, nothing untoward!

Couple revisions later, settling at a very good 365bhp and 492nm.
To be honest, i expected to see around the 345-350bhp mark but with a nice amount of timing added, 1.5bar -> 1.6bar, i can’t complain.

Flat torque curve until around 4500rpm then tailing off and power climbing and climbing, I was happy to call it a day with this one.

Good test drive to make sure everything is performing how it should and wow did it go well. As much as I like the DSGs, manuals on this platform sure can be fun and just feel SO raw.

Came back, told Tom to jump in the passenger and i’ll give him a little taster! He was stunned at the difference it had made and how much quicker it was! Got him to have the drive back to the unit, and there was no holding back from him! chuffed to bits he was, and that’s one of the reasons i love to tune 👌🏻

I’m sure he will be back in the future for more power once he gets bored of it 😂

What a pleasure 🫡

Ford Tourneo Connect 1.6TDCI with a twist 😅

AI Generated 🫣

This came in for stage 2 tuning but doesn’t have the 1.6, it has a slightly bigger engine and is a petrol 😂

This has the 2.5 engine in and we have tuned the owners ST225 previously so he knew who to come to straight away with this!

Mod List:
Turboback exhaust
Actuator
Recirc
Intake
550cc injectors
Intercooler

Very fun one to tune, unfortunately the fuel pump was on the weaker side so was slowly dropping off mid to top end so he will be going for a 340LPH pump with them being cheap as chips and always do a good job (alongside the RS turbo he’s planning to strap to it)

This felt so strange to drive and confuses a lot of people when they hear a turbo flutter and see a van.

Absolute beast on the road with plenty of torque to carry it along the road as well as an aggressive powerband, more to come so watch this space 🫡

BMW 520D in for Stage 1 dyno tuning

This came in for tuning to give it some extra poke! even though these are 184bhp and 380nm quoted from factory, they never seem to have any pull in them and feel flat through the mid and top.

Once tuned the whole range transforms, pulling all the way through the rev range.

Nice gains from stock with boost pressure, rail pressure, exhaust gas temps, DPF pressures all nice and healthy 👌🏻

Seat Leon Cupra 280 for Stage 1 ECU + TCU dyno tuning

This was the second car of the boiling hot day that suffered massively with IATS soaring through the roof 🥲

Making 269.5bhp standard which was expected due to the temperature!

This had an intake kit fitted so helped with air flow slightly whilst tuning.

Linear boost control with 1.58bar peak and tailing off right at top end, 8.75 degrees ignition advance up top, no timing withdrawal, fuel pressure spot on, no throttle closure, bang on 👌🏻

TCU adjusted for quicker shift speeds on upshifts and downshifts, torque limiters raised, shift points raised to 6900rpm with true manual mode, launch control RPM lowered from factory to aid traction control during launch.

ECU adjusted for 1-1 throttle demand, boost by gear for maximum grip.

Look at the volume within both the power and torque curve with peak torque at 4100rpm 💪🏻

On the road, this was beautiful to drive, shift speeds spot on whether that’s just cruising about or having a little play.
Pulling hard through the rev range, plenty more power and torque to play about with now especially with the dry roads appearing more often ☀️

Hyundai I30 for Stage 1 + Intake kit fitting

This came in to fit a forgemotorsport induction kit to give it some beautiful flutters as well as tuning it on the dyno.

Very hot today, so heat was definitely a limiting factor in regards to power output ☀️
With it being stock intercooler, IATS were through the roof by the end of the pull even with the huge fan and two extra fans to try and bring them down (1 of 2 cars today that suffered massively)

With it being a hot day, we were focusing on delta gains.

Nice increments of 34.7bhp and 62.8nm

1.45bar peak with no timing withdrawal, very good logs to say ambient temps in the dyno cell were 30+!!

On the road, this pulled nice and strong and the turbo flutters were 🤌🏼

Audi TTRS in for Stage 1 ECU + TCU

This was the nicest example of a TTRS i’ve seen and all of us gave a compliment to the owner for having such a beauty 👊🏼

A bit underpowered stock, so focusing on delta gains rather than what we normally see (480bhp roughly).

Huge increase of 84.9bhp & 140.4nm!!
1.55bar tailed off with slight timing adjustments is where we ended up at.

TCU calibrated accordingly to allow for quicker shift speeds for upshifts and downshifts, solid clamping pressures, improved thermal management, torque limiters raised, torque reduction adjusted during shifts with reduced delay for the paddle shifts👌🏻

On this road this SHIFTED.

I took it out, told the customer to take it out but he wanted to be in the passenger seat 😂 After a good amount of stomach turns, i told him to hop in the driver seat and give it some beans, the smile on his face is one of the best things you can see when it comes to tuning. He was absolutely chuffed to bits, non stop grinning, complimenting how well we have done on it in regards to the engine and gearbox tune!

Audi RS3 for Stage 1 ECU + TCU tuning

Owner of this beautiful RS3 bought this not long ago, told that it was in stock form but upon getting used to the car, he had a feeling that it had something done to it.

He was right! We felt this straight away on road test and dyno testing confirmed it.

Programming attempts done on both ECU and TCU, the gearbox not feeling the best though with the odd jerkiness on gear changes at high rpm.

Once we ran it up and read the file, we told him that it was a decent stage 1 and gave him the option on whether he wanted us to tune it or not. He decided that for peace of mind, he’d rather us tune it after coming to us for his previous cars, knowing he’s in safe hands and everything is done well within safe tolerances.

An increase of 1.2bhp and 42.1nm, not a huge difference on paper but the delivery of the power is so much better.

Plenty more volume within both the power and torque curves and power climbing further into the rev range.

TCU now correctly calibrated, with instant shifts and clamping as it should.

On the road, this felt so much quicker through the whole range pulling hard through the gears with sharp gear changes!
