Update 9th April 2025, I am pleased to say that Travis returned the monies sent in mistake so the situation is now all sorted. Thank you to Travis or anyone who saw the post below and told Travis about it.
I am posting this in an effort to reach a previous customer who bought a fabulous Bullit Spirit 125cc Café Racer from us in July 2020, Travis from Huntingdon – this is the bike in the picture only 1400 miles from memory. When we were actively buying and selling on Facebook, we endeavoured to do things right by customers. Margins were always thin, to keep the prices attractive and affordable, plus we usually delivered free of charge and other bits n bobs to make it as easy as possible for buyers. We never hassled anyone to buy anything.
Well recently I went to pay for an engine rebuild (related to a totally different project) and by mistake sent £450 to Travis’s account details. I was in the bank when the transaction was sent, so immediately (within minutes of hitting send) checked to see how to get it back and they basically said the receiver has 21-working days to return the money. We are fast approaching the 21-working days and no monies have been received.
So, if you are reading this Travis do the right thing, please and return the monies. Alternatively, if you follow us, see this and you know Travis, can you please let him know about the post and ask him to contact his bank for details of how he sends the money back?
Travis, I have messaged you through FB directly, I would have called but I do not have a telephone number. I can also swing by next time I am near your address if that works.
Times are hard right now and temptation to keep what might be seen as “free money” would be high, but I also believe that most people are honest and genuine. Thanks, Rob.
