Going into the new year with one lucky megane RS. Thankfully, this cambelt was being replaced just in the nic of time. Unfortunately, it was the gearbox failing that took the car of the road. Once speaking to the customer, we decided to remove the engine. After sending the gearbox to for repair. We took the chance to replace the cambelt & Waterpump at the same time.

2013 Bmw 320D In For extensive engine work.
After the timing chain failed, the Camshafts & crankshaft rotated out of sync. Causing the valves to come into contact with the pistons.
This caused the following damage:
- Broken Camshaft rockers.
- Bent Valves.
- Cracked carrier.
- Cracked Camshaft cover.
- Incorrect positioning of Camshaft lobes.

Unfortunately we are seeing more timing chain failures then before. Unlike timing belts, timing chains do not have recommended replacement intervals.
