A useful classic-car viewing starts before you arrive.

Bring a short written checklist, a torch and a phone for notes or photographs. Read the advert closely, write down anything you want clarified, and leave enough time to look at the body, cabin, history file and paperwork without rushing.

Most importantly, confirm that the car is still available and agree the appointment before travelling. Viewings at Turn Two Classics are strictly by appointment.

An early Phase 1 hot hatch that has remained remarkably close to standard.

This 1988 Peugeot 309 1.9 GTi is currently listed at £14,995. It is a manual car showing 38,000 km (24,000 miles), finished in Futura Grey metallic with grey velour and red piping.

Its original dealer wallet, service book and manuals remain with the car. After time in a private collection, it was recommissioned in December 2024 with a timing belt, service and fluids.

The live listing describes this 1968 Triumph TR5 as chassis X755, the only surviving factory prototype of five built to TR5 specification from TR4A shells and chassis. Documented prototype features include altered inner front wheelarches, an experimental gearbox number and a white-finished chassis and differential used to make cracks easier to identify.
