A third new lawn laid this year! Again a tired and damaged lawn - this time the sloping garden was levelled to remove the slope and align to a new patio; the ground prepared to the highest standard including removing all sorts of concrete, old patios and giant rocks that would all inhibit the new lawn growth; the area was edged with heavy sleepers, including a new wall of sleepers removing from sight a tired and damaged brick wall; the new Farnabys turf laid to fine effect!

Another new lawn laid this year; client wanted a new weed-free lawn so all the old turf removed, area graded and levelled, soil finely prepared before laying with fresh new turf supplied by Farnabys. Very happy client 😀

A recent re-lawn project; following some building work my client's garden was completely ruined. To give them a very quickly useable lawn we returfed - all the old turf/foliage removed, the area graded and levelled, soil finely graded before final prep and laying it fully with good quality new turf supplied by Farnabys. Very happy results, and happy clients 😀

Last update for today!
Whilst the 27' viking boat build remains suspended due to the Covid situation, I've been able to do some other boat work;

Any boat project considered, whatever the size!

This was an internal fit-out project on a Princess 30; a V-berth removable in-fill section in the forward cabin, along with a berth extension to create a larger sleeping area in the main saloon. This latter featured foldable legs for ease of storage when not in use!
All sections are made from Sapele on marine ply, and rest on discrete restraints fashioned from Sapele. The boat owner is applying the finish to suit.

More bespoke joinery! These beautiful louvred doors bring new life to any room; also providing ventilation into what can be stale and damp areas.
These doors are built without any mechanical fastenings, and hung on concealed soft-close hinges!

More bespoke joinery projects - a custom built unit designed to blend into the corner, hiding the maze of wires, and topped with a beautiful oak shelf.
The wires picture below was how it looked before! The unit was to be painted by the customer to match the room decor.

Some more bespoke joinery- this was a custom-built bridge, sympathetically replacing the previous version which had fallen into disrepair. Constructed of treated timber, it looks stunning over the pond at the head of the garden!

This is a unique custom-built gate; Constructed without any mechanical fastenings, it is mortice and tenons throughout, including all the spokes running through mortices the full length.
Set onto new posts either side. It makes a lovely feature entrance to the back garden

No handyman job is too small! Here's some pictures of recent projects.
New fence post and panels, bed edging in timber and gravelling for that ultra smart finish, new decking and subframe on the front of a summerhouse, coving, and stone wall repair!
