RS Turbo in for a set up on the Dyno today. Running very lean the first runs were aborted.

After investigation, the fuel ECU had no power meaning the whole enrichment circuit was inoperative, once this wiring fault was traced and fixed we started to see things coming to life, although the TPS was also not referencing the WOT switch so the fuel ecu was not richening mixture on full load.
TPS stripped down and a broken solder joint was found and fixed.
This allowed us to complete the set up and perfect the fuelling at 14psi.

Very rarely these days is any set up nice and easy. Almost every car has underlying faults which make planning and booking set times to sort these cars very challenging as you never know what’s going to turn up.

Twin 044 Pump loom.
Running 2 fuel pumps is quite dangerous as one pump can fail, and you would never know as the car keeps running, meaning fuel delivery is down under full load and if you required the extra delivery things can get a bit messy.
To help with this issue our twin pump looms have an output on the feed side of the relay to allow you to wire 2 led lights, although we cannot measure fuel flow we can make things as safe as possible and allow the driver to see that both relays and fuses are working and outputting power to the pumps.
Most pump failures will blow a fuse meaning one led would be extinguished.
This driver can now rest assured both his pumps have a great power feed with much more confidence.

Lovely BMW M4 Heritage Edition in today for an ECU unlock to allow the owner to utilise the BM3 platform. The later variants of these have the ECU “locked” which prevents the ECU read and write process being done via the OBD port. With our tooling we can connect to the ECU directly and write a patch to allow the OBD port to be unlocked and then used as per the older variants. We managed to do this without removing the ECU from the car.

Our 1000cc Bosch Injector kits come with a fitting kit that allows the Injector to be clipped to the fuel rail, and also clip to the top fitting adaptor, resulting in extra safety as the injector cannot pop out of the adaptor,
Even if the rail comes loose or breaks a mount, these won’t spill high pressure fuel all over the engine.
This top adaptor also has a removable/replaceable filter built in, to catch any debris before it ever reaches the injector.

Focus ST250, these suffer quite badly from carbon build up in the inlet ports. This one had a stage 1 remap and walnut blast to remove the nasty deposits.
