Mystery battery drain! New battery drained overnight. After spending days troubleshooting short circuit pursuit led to overhead control panel. Water from sunroof drain collection assembly was very slowly making into the car, moisture was getting into the sunroof motor and shorting multiple systems. Fixed 😊

S500 was still shaking at idle. At 1500 and 2500 rpm massive shaking was felt the cabin. Harmonic balancer is often overlooked culprit 😉 it dampens vibrations from engine. At this age rubber parts give up. Replace!

Project S500 had old and some fresh oil around top of the engine. After cleaning engine bay and driving for few weeks small leaks were confirmed in the rocket cover gasket and breather cover seal. Time and high temperatures did its job. New gaskets will be done on both V8 sides. Just good practice instead of waiting for leaks to escalate.

Easy weekend job while waiting for more serious stuff, - interior air filter change. W220 S500 has 4 of them! Two behind the glove compartment look a bit forgotten 😬 Service book advised charcoal ones were changed with the last service (unusual 😁) . After the inspection miracle is confirmed, so they go back in ✌️

Wee project while in lockdown. One owner, 118k miles, 14 year old c class with all services done by the book in the same garage! Engine and gearbox is like new, but some age related things to address: handbrake, broken folding mirror, breaks, suspension bits.. Once done it will be good for other 100k miles 😎
