Hello folks. Just want to clarify the entry requirements. The original Mourne Run was solely a classic Ford event. Then it incorporated the Retro Rally Replica Group.

Now the Mourne Run includes classic and historic cars. Cars of historical interest. Old school cars. Collector cars. AMG, M series. Audi RS. XR* ST and RS Fords. Lotus of any kind. Carton GSI. STi and Evo. Realistically any proper competition car. Kit cars. Renault Sport cars. Hyundai N series cars. The cars by and large have to be a little bit special - hence the invitation extended to the Driving Exotic Cars group - who attend with an array for supercars.

The felt spec reek cars are not for this event. The IS200 brigade - it’s not the event for you either.

The Mourne Run has taken flack in the recent past due to the widening of the entry criteria. We’re still trying to keep the entry just that little bit special. If it’s not managed then we run the risk of having a Prius, Megane Scenic or a Kia Sportage attending.

We do run another event (Benone Run) where there is no entry criteria whatsoever. Bring a school bus if you want! But unfortunately the Mourne Run has to be a little exclusive.

I hope everyone understands and apologies to those who feel excluded.

Mourne Run 2026 returns - LAST SUNDAY of September (27th)

Same format as all the previous years….

Classic Fords, Retro Rally Cars, retro and classic cars, Subaru Impreza and Mitsubishi Evolution cars welcome. BMW M series and Audi S & RS along with vehicles of historical or significant interest. Event is invitation or approval only folks. Anyone who has previously attended is automatically eligible.

Insult alert coming! No s**t “felt spec” reek spewing, arse dragging, popcorn mapped out diesel Golf, Bora, Jetta, Fabia like yokes unfortunately. No IS200 Lexus either folks. You guys have Dubfest, Dubshed, Titanic Dubs, and Easter Sunday at the Port, loads of “king of the cone” and drift events at the local oval race tracks.

This event is for a specific sector.
