Audi A7 3.0 TDI – not all tuning is equal!

This A7 came in with the later 3.0 TDI engine running Bosch MD1_CP004 management. It also had the stronger DL501 7-speed gearbox, rather than the DL382 found in some models, so a much better platform for turning the power up properly.

On the dyno it quickly became clear it already had someone else’s “Stage 1” tune on it. As always, we reset it back to stock, tested it properly, then started again with our own calibration.

The difference speaks for itself.

A Mercedes CLS400d in for tuning, equipped with Mercedes' latest 2.9-litre OM656 straight-six diesel engine. These newer engines are a huge step forward in refinement over the previous generation and respond exceptionally well to tuning, delivering impressive gains whilst retaining OEM drivability.

This example received both our Stage 1 ECU and TCU software, transforming the way the car performs on the road.

For owners of the modern 350d models (281bhp), it's worth noting these are simply a detuned version of the 335bhp variant, meaning similar 390-400bhp figures are achievable with our software.

Meeting the limitation of the factory clutch we have now gone a upgraded Wagner clutch kit and more push push

A very different platform to tune compared to the automatics and trying to get past the torque limiter was challenging. As we were targeting torque numbers way beyond the factory clutch capabilities from the ramp up of boost. We now have lots of S58 development in the bag👌

This is why we partner and value our relationship with Celtic Tuning, 33 file revisions later, lots of logging and dyno time to get the perfect results🙌

The B58 never disappoints… 🔥

This MY2018 BMW M140i came in for our Stage 1 ECU calibration and left making a very healthy 432bhp. Already fitted with XHP TCU software, so this one was ECU tuning only — but the results speak for themselves.
