Jack’s Skyline R34 GTT in with us to help make his exhaust quieter on cold start and early mornings. Yes we all love the straight 6 RB symphony but not everyone wants to hear that at 3am when they are deep in sleep. We sorted this with an electronic exhaust valve fitted in the exhaust and controlled via a remote control. Now he can close the exhaust down from 3” to around 1” which is fine for a cold start and gentle cruise and allow you to open it when you want to hear and use the car properly. Best of both worlds as no one wants unhappy neighbours. We also noticed the 2017 hankook tyres were cracked and dangerous so we opted for a set of Michelin pilot sport 4s tyres as they really are the best in the business and offer incredible grip in wet and dry.

2018 Golf GTE in with us for a custom back box delete. We fabricated a gti style twin exit with 4” inward rolled tips. We finished it off with a genuine VW bumper trim panel from the same year gti. Looking way nicer now.

Last weekend we were at JDM Castle Combe. Amazing weather, great selection of cars and Chris’s AE86 Corolla picked up another win this time 1st out of the top 50 selected cars of the show and the detailers choice award. Great to see it getting the attention it deserves.

Claire’s Supra Mk4 NA-T 8HP in with us today for a full checkover and to diagnose a vibration at 70mph. Among a few faults we found excessive movement in the upper arm bushes both sides which is extremely common. We replaced the bushes for a set of Superpro polybushes which will not only stiffen up the feel but out last the oe style rose joint bushing.

We also replaced the wiring connector for the starter motor trigger as it had a blue spade terminal barely holding on.

This supra will be getting booked back in later to sort out some more issues found.

Something alot different in yesterday. Straight from the middle east. Nissan Patrol 4.8 litre straight 6 with a highly modified engine internally and making around 480-500bhp 😳. We were asked to remove a centre exhaust box as it wasn’t loud enough. It definitely is now we fabricated and tig welded a stainless 3” centre section. Amazing how big these truck are check out the desert tyres 😎😎

What a day! Best engine bay Japfest 2026 for Chris Toyota Corolla AE86 that we recently completed. This is a great achievement to have all the hard work noticed and awarded at one of the biggest shows of the year.
