At Davis Trackhire, health and safety is at the heart of everything we do.
Operating installation vehicles and equipment in the vicinity of overhead live power lines presents significant risks, particularly when working with high-reach equipment, cranes and installation systems.
That is why we take a proactive and professional approach to every project.
All our engineers and supervisors involved in these operations are GS6 trained, ensuring our teams understand the hazards associated with working near overhead services and, importantly, the control measures required to work safely.
However, we recognise that safe working around overhead power lines is not the responsibility of one organisation alone. We work closely with our clients, site management teams and other contractors to ensure that the risks are identified, understood and controlled before work begins.

🟢 Maintaining clear communication between our installation teams, vehicle operators and the client.
⚫️ Using our installation equipment in a controlled and considered manner.
🟢 Continually reviewing conditions and stopping work if safe working distances or control measures cannot be maintained.
Good communication and planning between Davis Trackhire and our clients is fundamental to achieving a safe working environment. Before our vehicles arrive on site, we aim to ensure that everyone understands the hazards, the planned method of working and the controls that need to be in place.
