Des Bushell has a lifelong love of land rovers and acquired Pegasus Garage over a decade ago from its founder. Des has broadened the offering to the provision of a complete range of automotive services for all vehicles but continues to specialise in servicing, repair and restoration of land rovers and other 4x4s. storation. In addition to the usual servicing, mechanical and welding repairs recent / ongoing customer projects include:

-200 / 300 TDI engine conversions to older land rover 90's
-3.9 efi v8 conversion of a Series 2a
-Complete restoration of a customers 1992 Range Rover Classic 3.9 efi including new block and full engine chassis and bodywork overhaul. Complete restoration of a pair of 1976 and 1979 Range Rover Classics to original specification complete with period features. Restoration of a Series 3 Land Rover to original specification

We also offer sales of Land Rovers and inspections of customer prospective purchases.

📢 Big news from Pegasus! 🚨

After six years of growth under our current ownership, we’re excited to announce that from 1st July we’ll be moving to a new workshop - just minutes from our current location.

Pegasus has been based at our current yard since 1993, so this is a huge milestone for us. This move is only possible because of the incredible support, loyalty and recommendations we’ve received from our customers over the years.

Our new workshop will give us more space and better facilities, helping us continue to provide the specialist Land Rover service we’re known for.

Throughout June we’ll still be carrying out servicing, maintenance and smaller repairs while we prepare for the move. Some larger jobs may need to be scheduled from July onwards as we make the transition, and we appreciate your understanding during this busy period.

To celebrate, we’ll be hosting an Open Day at the new workshop with a BBQ and the chance to look around the new premises. More details coming soon!

Thank you for being part of our journey. We’re excited for what’s next and can’t wait to welcome you to our new home.

This Land Rover Discovery 3 came in with no drive at all - classic signs pointing toward clutch issues.

Once we got inside, the clutch hadn’t just worn out… it had completely blown apart.

Most likely down to age-related wear, potentially accelerated by a failing thrust bearing causing overheating and eventual failure.

By the time symptoms get this bad, the damage is already done - early diagnosis is everything.

If your Land Rover isn’t driving quite right, it’s always worth getting it checked properly, before it gets to this point.
