Nissan Juke petrol ECM (MEC940) in for cloning this week.

The ECU would fully open one injector when running and hydra lock the 4th cylinder almost instantly after crank, a used ECM was sourced by the customer and we cloned for them no issues.

This Volvo kicked off 2026 today in the icy weather.

AFL warning on the dashboard with lots of messages on the instrument cluster.

Two faults on this once the front bumper stripped off, first was the most obvious snap right at the head lamp connector, second being further down the loom a tight kink caused a snap inside the insulation on a LIN signal from the BCM.

All repaired and looks like OEM 🔧

Thanks again everyone for an amazing year, we’ve once again gone from strength to strength, and have become a staple resource in many trade customers tool sets.

We would also like to thank all of our retail customers and everyone who stopped by to drop drinks off for us, we’ve definitely got enough to last until next Christmas!

We close doors today until January for some much needed family time.

We re-open Friday 2nd of January, during this time we are available via email and text for any work bookings.

This Toyota Land Cruiser was in for a “trade” customer, the owner actually owns 5 Toyota main dealers!

This came to us as a none runner and hadn’t ran in some time, immediately we identified the windscreen was leaking, this had saturated 4 multi plugs in the passenger footwell causing around 9 pins in total to snap.

We cleaned all the multi plugs out, re-pinned the effected circuits and refitted everything just like factory.

🔧 Back on the road and ready to collect.

Sometimes a little token of appreciation makes the trade all worth while.

Older gentleman having issues with his Mercedes-Benz Vito, he popped in to ask for advise as he could not get the ignition to turn on when he turned the key.

He was desperate as he used the van every day for work, but we could not book him in for three weeks.

On the FBS3 system it’s normally one of three issues causing this, the ESL, EIS or key itself.

After asking a couple of questions the customer told us the van is often in a dusty environment, we advised that if the EIS gets dust in the IR reader it won’t pick the key up, and advised he should get some contact cleaner and spray the ignition switch inside to verify it’s clean, and off on his way he went.

A few days later he called in to say it had worked perfect and he was extremely grateful for the chat and advice and even dropped off a few spirits as a thanks 🍾!

This 2013 E class convertible was in this week after suffering fire damage to the fuse box under the bonnet.

This is actually a common issue, that personally I feel should’ve been a recall but seems not.

The 13mm positive terminal works its way loose and gets extremely hot and sets the entire area on fire.

Luckily the customer was on the ball and put this out quick, we replaced the module, repaired all the melted cabling and re-trucked all the harness so it’s just like factory.

Vehicle had random data bus errors and upon investigation we identified that the BCM long coding had been tampered with, coding restored using genuine ODIS and vehicle now fault free.

This Ford Ka popped along after receiving some appalling advice from a Half*rds Autocentre.

The customer was advised that the battery dying every two days was due to their alternator not working, customer popped along and we checked the alternator charge output, guess what… totally fine.

We knew straight away what this was, a 220mA draw killing the battery, and we all know the culprit on these! The blue and me module.

Customer opted to remove the unit, we then carried out a proxy alignment to fix the flashing mileage.
