Tony took us on a Fabulous couple of days to the Scottish Borders . We stayed at St Mary’s Loch and Meggit reservoir. Hardly a soul to be seen anywhere. The autumn colours were magnificent.

We have had a great one night stopover at Beadnell Bay with Tony. We stayed in Northumberland Council car park on the bay ,only metres from the fabulous beach and a short walk into Beadnell. Really beautiful scenery,very quiet overnight. Great for swimming ,water sports. lessons and equipment for hire right on the bay. Fabulous food at the Beadnell Towers as well.

Had a beautiful and peaceful New Year at The Boat Shack on Derwent reservoir . Couldn’t recommend it highly enough. We will be returning in the spring. Fabulous small enclosed site, immaculate clean ,full facilities. The food shack itself was shut for New year but the reports are great about the food. Llamas and alpacas which have been rescued live in their own enclose.
We were warm and cozy in Tony ,with the central heating on.
